Isn't the world beautiful?
The sun rises, the birds chirp,
The friends we laugh with,
The hope we receive.

"No, it's not,
There's nothing to love,
I'm screaming inside,
For fearing the unknown."

Lighten up, there's so much more!
You can hold the world in your hands,
But only if you take a stand.
So why stay in the darkness,
When you can see light high up above?

"Why, you ask?
'Cause this is where I belong,
Look at earth, look at the sky,
I see horror and terror in people's eyes,
You can't see the future,
For it's already destroyed.
The world is not beautiful."

But this is what we can have now,
So much potential,
So much beauty,
So much love.
The world can be beautiful,
Just look at it with your own eyes
I wrote this poem for a class, and we had to title it "The Greatest Gift" so this is what I came up with.
