Gone are the days, on a holiday
I used to just eat and sleep, now
I have developed an appetite
for new destinations
to read and meet,
the fascination for the sea
as the sheer thought of
unknown adventure
and mysteries of the deep
nowadays engulfs me.
Climbing up a hill, to look
down at the edge, bending
over a steep cliff, nature
out of a geography book.
At night, the hide and seek
of moon and the clouds
the rich silver light making me strong
at times when I feel so weak.

When strangers became new
friends, as a person I grew
like on the old grass
a fresh drop of dew.

At the end, I believe
a day will surely come
when I can fathom all this
and can share my wisdom
