I thought there were no words profound
I thought there was lack of composure
And all the expressions already used
I thought there was blank bitterness
I thought there was no cohesion at all
To derelict…

When I numbly stare to the flickering light
When I try to read the signs
And a motionless state of mental panic
When I wait for a call in apathy
When I feel like drowning
To derelict…

I capture images of grace
A solemn kind of matter
A ravishing twist in the chime
Feels like flying above a dream
And when I stare in a dark heart
Then dark surrounds, embracing me
To derelict…

The ripples of a silk gown
The delicate maelstrom inside us
And the sigh of heartbeats
The answers that we seek
The mesmerizing sound of entropy
To derelict…

Then in downfall you reign
Then heaven is all around
And follows a forlorn wish
Then it feels like a whisper
Then it all subsides
To derelict…

To the thorns on our side
To the grim smiles
And to the emptier still
To you and me
To derelict…
