Why does music
Make me feel so much?
Some songs bring hope
But others bring pain
Some bring joy
Others bring rain
I was once told
Musicians feel things
A little bit different
Like there is some
Deep connection in soul
That strengthens
Each time we hear a note
Why is it this way?
The way I feel
Sometimes kills me
I turn on my music
And break my own heart
Over and over
As I repeat the songs
That rip right to my center
And make me feel
So strangely
So differently
To everyone else
