Dec 2014
Maybe we could've done something to save us
You and I
Maybe we could have broken the casts
If only we had tried
Maybe these walls would have crumbled
And bended to our will
Or maybe we would have loved each more
With no more spaces to fill
Maybe if I had saved you first
You could have been there too
To help me scrape off my rust
And look all shiny new
But maybe I'm just one of those
Rare cases where
Nurture beats nature to a pulp
And I'm left lying
In the dust.
