Dec 2014
I would break every heart on my way back to you.
While I introduce whomever I come in contact with,
My fire.
The fire you've discovered in me.
The fire you've sustained and encouraged.
I would show them how to dance the way we did,
And they would slowly crumble underneath the weight of the way you showed me
How to love.
Because, darling, we were something else.
We are everything everyone else only wishes for under their breath,
But never declares directly to the sky.

If you were to leave,
I'd become the hands that leave prints into their souls
And the whisper that weaves throughout their very being...
They would remember the way I touched them, and
The way my voice curved the letters in their name

Never willing to admit they could feel my fingers painting your body,
And when my voice reaches for you... They know.

I really am just a dream,
Because you were my reality.
