Paul Lost Jan 2016
Empty heart with no sorrow
Paid a painful tithe
Broken bones of tomorrow
Journeys without time

Never be they forgotten
Never repeat nor abide
Broken heart filled with sorrow
Empty cast of our lives
Paul Lost Jan 2016
It's time that's lost
And never found
That keeps your mind
Far from the ground.
Paul Lost Jan 2016
Heard you were looking for me
The unobtainable dream
I'm an not what you think
I am not what you seek
I'm convoluted
Twisted
Happiness brought, sowing sadness
Joy paid in pain

philosophical,
a hopeless romantic,
a cynic and a fraudulent hypocrite

Everything you are yet nothing you want to be.
Paul Lost Jan 2016
A hair raising brush
A venomous look
A breaking fluttering
A time consuming yearning
Nothing can control
Inevitability
Nothing can become of this

In a moment of weakness a lifetime could be created in a wink.
Paul Lost Dec 2015
I used to dream my life away
Dreamt the the stars would show the way
A path that promises a better day
Than the one I dreamt up yesterday

I used to see you in my dreams
Holding hands like they were seams
Like we were one and ones to be
But nothing was quite like I foresee

You never dreamt the life I saw
I couldn't hold you like I did before
When troubles came conclusions draw
They couldn't hold, no restore

You not only broke my beating heart
You broke my soul my endless start
You broke the good I used to see
You broke the spirit that used to be me

Slowly was our ultimate death
A rounded mind brings journey's end
Not only did you **** my dreams
You killed a boy that loved his dreams
Paul Lost Dec 2015
It breaks every time
To know that we’ve tried
It was innocent at first
The life that we lied

I wanted a dream and you wanted mine
But it was never yours
It was never time
The songs that we sang, washed by the rain

I had to go, needing something that’s mine
I offered what I had
You had everyone in mind

It’s only when you ripped out my heart
That you realised yours was connected to mine

— The End —
