Hi

Emma
Hi
To whomever's eyes now trace these words
They were made for you and you only
I am reaching through time to touch you
Isn't that so cool?

your face has become a flame
burning my lips when I speak your name.

your touch was no longer nice
choking me like spice.

your scent is no longer missed
like your salty kiss.

I'm done being your little freak,
now I'll spite you like a poetry creep.

your ocean wasn't even that deep
although I enjoyed riding that wave.

you, my love.... I no longer crave
in fact I've taught temptation how to behave.

Its funny how poetry
likes to be written in black
when often
it needs to be in yellow

sometimes
it isn't about loss
haunting regrets
or hollow sadness

sometimes
its about the way the sun hits the window
and wakes you up after a good night's sleep
sometimes
its about the smiles your muscles show
before you can control them
sometimes
its about a hopeful moment
in a near future
or newly changed bed sheets
or a chuckle with a baby
or the smell of freshly baked cookies

sometimes
its about the gratefulness
in words you can't begin to speak
sometimes its about a hit
thats such a near-miss
sometimes its about a hug
or a look
or a feeling

sometimes its about
a beating heart
a functioning liver
and a ...

sometimes its about a speechless tongue
that cannot speak these blessings
for it will take too long

My heart was still learning how to walk again
But somehow, you taught it how to skip

Complementless
Competentless
What you're
Is out of the world
How to define you?
I don't know
Whom hell am I?
To do so........?
You're so beautiful..............
I'm just speechless-Written on 21.07.2012,Saturday

Lisa on love
it is entirely possible
for experiences
far too magical and euphoric
to exist in real time
it is possible

I look for you
In passing faces
A stranger's glance
In haunted places

I feel you among
Nature's grandest setting
It is you that I remember
Even when I'm forgetting

I see you wherever I go
In everyone I meet
Your words echo in conversations
That pass me on the street

Your soft, easy way
That safe familiar tone
That always takes me back
To a time long gone

I ignore the lingering feeling of loss when I see your face, when we chatter away like nothing ever changed, when the echos of your laughter play in my head again
I ignore the feeling until someone lays it out in front of me in perfect words,
Heart-shattering reminder.
Even then,
You weren't really mine.
You have always been a bird in wide skies and I do want to see you fly
But I am flightless.
Reminder-
We must grow from our past
Not run back to it.
Nostalgia can be such a sweet-tasting poison.
I feel it eat away at me now.
