in the Universe of our minds
-it is easy to feel lost

that so a grounding is called for
-a coming back to Earth

to the moment-
Privileged Earthling Moments.

on our Island roads there are no markings
no traffic lights, no stop signs
hardly any pavement,
yet, collisions, are vanishingly rare.

I exchanged all I had
and like Jack, came away with a few beans in hand

those beans now planted (magically)
grew so much more than I could ever have wished,

a three bean poet
harvesting from a gigantic stalk.

skin tells her story
all the way from first to last

time is short and shorter still
baby soft to crinkled old

who knew
ten years ago
writing to process trauma
would
make my heart
and mind stronger
and open my world
to new ideas, people and order,
even make me live longer?!

It's surely made me wonder,
observe, admire and sonder
in many a world
where I'd like to yonder
and ponder
new ways to phrase
my inner yearnings
and sift out foolish fodder.
