When a bookstore puts your books on their websites but not in their brick and mortar stores

skin tells her story
all the way from first to last

time is short and shorter still
baby soft to crinkled old

who knew
ten years ago
writing to process trauma
would
make my heart
and mind stronger
and open my world
to new ideas, people and order,
even make me live longer?!

It's surely made me wonder,
observe, admire and sonder
in many a world
where I'd like to yonder
and ponder
new ways to phrase
my inner yearnings
and sift out foolish fodder.

self aware
mystery

in relation
complexity

unaware
robotic automation

vicious verbatim victory
very viable verbiage
vivid visa-vis victims

massive flux
shifting tectonics

supernova
volcanic bloodlust

unrelenting fire
the killing of children

beasts
tooth and claw

one speaks of war
another talks peace

one scoffs at Humanity
another experiences justifiable anger
