Big Boys Don't Cry
Marcoledi Mar 2020
Scream and punch a wall,
Doesn't matter at all,
Big boys don't cry,
Big boys don't cry

Bit my lip until it bled,
Stain the white pillowcase red,
Big boys don't cry,
Big boys don't cry

Lay there staring at the ceiling,
But don't you dare show how you're feeling,
Big boys don't cry,
Big boys don't cry

Killing myself to make me seem tough,
Didn't they know it's not enough,
Big boys don't cry,
Big boys don't cry

Repeat the phrase,
Comes from a dark place,
Big boys don't cry,
Big boys don't cry

Big boys don't cry
Big boys don't cry
Big boys don't ...

Precision
Marcoledi Mar 2020
Everything in our universe happens with precision
Exact moments where two things just so happen to meet
Our universe was written in change and collision
A fiery birth, and history of heat
The future is determined by chance
That extends to our very lives
Every small decision changes the dance
Every second of every minute changes future times

Two people happen to talk of something somewhere
Birth of fiery new dawn.
Our lives are just so perfect.  Regardless of the stuff we go through, us even being alive is the result of random chance, random collision whether it be particles or people.  Should one particular small thing not happen at an exact second, then perhaps I wouldn't be here.  Perhaps you won't do certain things ever because of one tiny decision that you didn't realize mattered.

Upon the shimmering galaxies
Stretching the rivers of stars
There lived the race of Lux
Their Empires and Conquest stretched across
The galaxy bent at their knees
And with their power and immortality
They chose the path of light
Beneficiaries to the newfound races
Aiding and guiding their way
They had all the power in the universe
And used it to be kind

The Great Void
Marcoledi Jan 2020
One day, a man looks up to the sky.
He wonders, "Am I alone?"
He picks one of the stars up high.
Mouth open, he shouts "Is there anyone there with a mind of their own?
Perhaps without a place to call home?
I too am here, with doubts of my own,
I wish to know of you before I have flown,
And landed deep in God's green Earth,
I need the answer I have been seeking since birth."
But of course, there was no reply,
And as the years begin to fly by,
He breaks down on his knees to cry.
Until he hears a voice from the stars,
"Here I am, I've heard your voice from afar."

I stepped out into the cool grass,
And gazed up at the night sky.
It's a vast expanse,
Beckoning.
Truly I tell,
I felt that night lost and unwell.
The cosmos felt open,
yet so closed.
To reminisce,
the sky is not the limit,
but we are limited.
