My trumpet blows, as the wind,
My next journey, a trip,
Amongst a lil bitsy stain…
On my shirt,
Taking an occasion with someone
Who identifies me…as we lay.
But it’s sometimes… desperately needed.
Thank you for sharing—
My anchor, yet we’re on dry land,
For genuine principles.
I gotta be…where I need to go,
And how…
Am I gonna get there,
When Alice is the one holding my hand?
is there peace… in silence?
They say, it’s where YHWH dwells,
Pays for rain, washed in faith.
No one said,  it was gonna be easy.
As I see her fading, like cigarettes smoke
How  much should one endure?
When the squeak wheel receives her reward.

Sarah whispers...
Red flashing screams, tears held
In the shame rock of failure.
The head bone tied to our decisions,
A soldier forward marching to war—
Our own goals, seeking to be seen,
Yet craving invisibility.

I speak truth,
No difference shines between good and evil.
The white boasts of rewards—
Secrets hover as the morning dim;
When he leaves, we marvel at a scene
Like Klowns juggling twisted truths

Words we hold, air we breathe,
Defining our lives in whispers of deceit.
Do you sense it?
We dine on scraps left by rogues.
Sally Walker sits skeptically,

Not laughing where judgment drifts—

He lives by belief, his God a daily prayer.
Here it is, “YHWH” first—
Y’all better behave—
Compassion’s call in times of sorrow.
Guess what?
The kettle's dry,
And the waters of hope ebb away

Torn Veil
Believe in me,
Not the echoes of past ghosts.
A house of cards, guaranteed joker—
Every misfortune haunts the night.
A man, weary, waits at the edge,
Worn down like an 8-track, spinning silently,
Late-night calls eating away at time.
I’ll be your anchor, steady when storms rise,*
No doubts nagging, no fears to chase.
Our vow— 75 degrees in the August sun,
You said I veered off-course back there,
Stay present, don’t let distractions stall the ride.
If my words make your eyes roll,
Why does my mouth betray what my heart whispers?
No need for stress—
That message delivered in a moment of despair.
Fingers on shoulders, my trust anchors in your gaze,
“Bello”--the kiss of life
Affection cloaking the terror of fading shadows—
Back-to-back, yet you dimmed my light.

Baby Doll
McArthur Hunt Jr Dec 2024
In the silence, tapping a buzzing sound,
Echoes of night where crickets abound,
Do you know where we’re going,
As the shadows keep growing?

Rebuild, rebound, with each fleeting beat,
Pace quicker, hear the thrum in your feet,
Not fast enough, the night whispers low,
Boy, go ahead, let your spirit flow.

Underneath the stars, in the cool, crisp air,
Chasing dreams that shimmer, daring to dare,
With every heartbeat, feel the world ignite,
In the rhythm of time, you.

When the rain washes you clean,
Remember what you have
And what you want.
  SILLY FOOL
Nothing can stop this burning—
Sixteen dollars, three uncut gems,
A child support check,
A ball and chain,
And a hole in my pocket.

And you know, I’m no baby.
I don’t wanna go
Back and back,
Forth and forth,
Pinky promise.

Narcissistic, I am—my father’s name
Is etched across my face.
The whole town is laughing at me;
I should’ve caught a fade.
Instead, check your grit—
A thin line between love and hate.

Yet beneath their laughter, a fierce fire glows.
They see the cracks, not the strength that grows.
In this struggle, I find my way—
Every moment a battle, but I choose to stay.

Absent
McArthur Hunt Jr May 2017

Loving you is all I wanted
to hold your hands
clever thought, a gentle walk
me being silly, bumping into you
a pregame smile
talking and laughing the day away
dancing eyes only knew
hugging you
cause you are that absent piece in my heart
hiding in tears are heaven fears
Losing, seeing you smile
while pictures are Fading in my hand.

FOOL
McArthur Hunt Jr Nov 2015
Twenty-four karats,
she's twenty-four karats
priceless like the Mona Lisa
she's my water
and I, the desert
Her reflection is my blessing

Nuthin' is every what we expect
trippin' over myself
believing in things, that just wasn't true
My future, disappointed

as I tried, living happily without her
like a silly butterfly in a field of daisies
drawn away
blinded by bright colors and fragances
left empty as the sun goes down

yellow moon, horseshoe and four leaf clover can't help me now
shakin' with that ****** twitches
reaping what I sown
adieu
erring, chasing fools' gold

TINY BUBBLES
McArthur Hunt Jr Jun 2015
Hot Day, light breeze
tiny bubbles
hope, faith and trust like fine china, care when handling

These are the days of our life we are living,
we are living the days of our life

Human errors, aching souls
ripping my heart like ***** failure
life support,
useless words to deaf ears

Flashing lights, emergency screams
beautiful lonely trails of salty tears have become a tsunami

No relief
In my sleep, I see you
Fragile,
tiny bubbles

Morning, I wait for her arrival
simple kindnesses, a sympathetic touch that awaking flowers
highlighted in pink....
Te amo’s kisses tremble the neck like a Richer scale,

In her I see faith, strength I can’t summon
my whole life i could spend in her arms,
Hinder me, past emotions
Let not Light see my black heart

What do you want?
I weighted your stare.
There’s no meat on the bones. You’re gonna have to pray.
I given in; I’m unable to moves forward.
Supply me air, tease no longer.
Another man mimic me.  Yellow highlighted performances.
Picture, pictures, picture
God, what have I done?
You stop, three silent moments.  Reload.
More pictures, even more, her without me.
This hurts. I cry.
She’s gorgeous, her eyes, her smiles, her hairs; beautiful, lovely beyond compare, her nails on hips, impressive.   Attitude, coach purse and boots,
too far gone, a glimpse.  Guns to roses
You have destroyed me, gram of sugars and Popsicle sticks on the living room’s floor.
What do you want, that dog no Hunt.
Pictures, pictures some pictures of you.
Season changes, people changes,
remove your hands from her view or leave me be.

WALKING FLAMING CHEETOS

Family intention
It’s amazing what one can accomplish with a little love, a pocket knife and soft words.
Frogs and crickets sing as rain drops fall.
I wasn’t creditable she wrote.
Looking ignorant optimisms make you.  No water, just the tracks of a girl becoming a lady.
The irony of that is just breathtaking.
Bear hugs, dancing on my feet, being her personal jungle gym and hot limon crunchy flamin Cheetos.
Science might contest the will, putting the blame on me
As mommy's kisses save the day

SHEDDING TEARS
McArthur Hunt Jr Jun 2014
I shall fear no man but God.
Shedding tears
placing my life between pen and papers spheres.

Against me the world rallies.
Trying to get rich off a skill, lying to myself.
I shall fear God

Self-examination, who is this really for?
Hot is hot, doubts is too.  Man pity Man
Paper spheres.

Need someone to believe in me
Things you find by reading
I fearing no man, I am God

I laugh where stars speaks
and write as other see.
Pen spheres

Merci beaucoup
I am what I am
God
Spheres.

Twinkle, Twinkle
million of stars
your will took us to places that I could never image
but what I saw
no one like a know it all.

Sweet Estrella,
love should have kept us together but I was stuck on whatever.
Oh well,
attitude is everything.
I'm drinking coffee.

Memories always appear closer.
Faith is in the wind.
I'm gonna need a better sign

then the sun in the sky.
Pen Gwen.

WAY PAST GO
McArthur Hunt Jr Feb 2014
You asks, “If I’m ready?”
Like a leaf
would ask permission to leave,
with no regret
I fall to you.

Kiss you up,
kiss you down.
Sunny days, starry nights, best of friend, wedding bells.

Fingers dance down
long black hairs
affectionate cuddles
as my hands continue it glide.

Pulling you closer.
heart to heart.
Nobody does it like us
mocha coffee with an Asian’s breeze.

There something about you
that's stimulating.
Groove with me
and toast to our victory.
You and I.

Lookie Loos
Hold both hands in the hole of my sweater.
It’s just life.
Choking on my mother’s intimidating words,
if I close my eyes maybe they won’t notice me.

I looked great in the photos.
High diving into broken glass,
This is going to sting,
giving the lookie loos something to chat about.

Wild birds need air.
Roll out the papers
No stems, no seeds.
Just a pencil thin line that separate tragedy from clarity.

A Kiss That Sadden Me
McArthur Hunt Jr Dec 2013
It’s what we do.
Kisses are the flowers of love in bloom.
Count on joy,
The sun will shine again.

I remember the smell of her apartment, burned popcorn and a new teal green leather sofa.
An awesome smile of achievement is what she wore.
American Express and Visa’s credit card applications are fanned out over the dinning room table.
Jodeci plays in the background, as we slow dance, nice and close.

We laughed on how high I jumped when her grandfather walked in on us being naughty.
Laughter is the air of the soul.
I move in closer to seal my fate.
Phone rings.

How soon we forget, that we’re all shadows on the wall of time.
It’s very clear I got to make that move.
I motion that I am leaving.
She blocks my exit, in an attempt to make me feel her touch.
Lost in love,

The lover wins every time.
Entre vous et moi
I promise her that I would return.
We both know it’s a lie.

Delight
McArthur Hunt Jr Dec 2013
Peace to you I say,
freely as the sun conduct the birds singing.
Trees reach for the stars daily
I live for your delight.

We chill and relax when necessary
and stand for honor and truth.
Voice linger in silent
Eyes are the souls
Peace to you I say, until we are no more.

Being Found
McArthur Hunt Jr Dec 2013
Staring into the mirror at the man I didn’t want to become.
Confronting constancies asking, “What have you learn?”
I’m biting apologies seeing that I haven’t learned.
Spirit deflated, frustrated breathing.

The winds wrestles with tree’s branches and butterflies mingle with flowers.
Life as always continues to move about.
The Light is always seeking and being found.
Stay encourage for there is nothing better than a man who has not given in.

Staring at the mirror at the man I have become.
Many directions only one outcome, God shall rejoice over me!
No more tears for I am love, the seal of perfection!

Field of Flowers
McArthur Hunt Jr Dec 2013
My mind swims with thoughts of you.
Bright light chase behind to magnify a vision of loveliness.
Bless with a coke bottle figure, dimple and a voice that angels envy, she’s irresistibly hot
Caught in the madness I scream, “Outstanding she’s the one.”

Corny lines drip from loose lips.
How many times will I look and ponder as she leisurely walks by?
I paint the sky blue not because it my favorite color but it represent my pain, as useless words continue to ooze.

Lead pencil break, I do too.
I sharpen to be near her.
Liking her style I move in closer and smile.
Her eyes twinkle.
I’ve figure it out, caterpillars, cocoons then butterflies.
In a field of flowers we’re meant to entwine.
