Two separate clouds
Two different worlds
Drifting together under one sky
A joyful greeting
A soft hello
A gentle smile
And sweet goodbye that said,
So good to see you... my friend.
Everyday was pleasant
Same joyful greeting
Same soft hello
Same gentle smile
Same sweet goodbye
Soon the skies began to turn
It happened over time
Enjoyed your company
And you enjoyed mine
Laughter, we shared joyful laughter
Tears, we cried beautiful tears
Stories, we shared painful stories
Singing, exploring a God given gift
Two separate clouds
Two different worlds
Growing to know me
I grew to know you
Sharing so much
Perhaps too little
Confiding in me
And I you
Two separate clouds
Two different worlds
Skies began to darken
Clouds soon clashed
Producing  painful lightening
Severing two clouds in half
You'd never be the same
You lost all hope in me
You'd never trust
me the same
A tear falls from heaven
I am to blame my Lord
I allowed Satan to have control over me
I lift this parting cloud up in my prayers
Let not these words fall onto the page with no meaning
Let these words reach the heart of this parting cloud
I am so very sorry...
Two separate clouds
Two different worlds
Satisfied

Patiently Growing

Pushing up through the dirt
Digging my way out
Fighting back the tears
Embracing the brilliant sunrise
Emerging before my Father’s eyes
Weary from the journey
Falling to my knees
Reaching out to Him
Trusting His plan
Puddles of forgiveness
Encircled my life
Sprouting His abiding love
Showering His grace
Standing back and waiting
Transforming me into His likeness
Pleasing to His Father
Patiently watching me grow
Flowering into His perfection

He planted her life for reason,
gently grounded her roots into the Earth,
poured life into her existence,
a reminder of his triumphant resurrection
sculpted her petals,
like His outstretched arms
bearing the cross for all sins,
tears of rainbows splashed
upon her face,
coloring the hole in her heart,
overflowing it with His unconditional love
warming her with His peace,
transforming her life for reason,
to mirror,
His beauty,
His life,
His passion,
His grace,
His promise,
His love,
His purpose,
His glory.

Accept one's right to have boundaries.
Have a clear understanding of their goals, for it's not about you.
It is all about them.
And that's okay.
Respect their choices, decisions, space, time, distance, unspoken words, desires, wants, and conditions.
It's not selfish in any relationship to allow one the freedom to be their own person without you in their life minute after minute, day after day.
It's not easy to do but, take a leap of faith and trust what is best for the relationship
Then hit that reset button within yourself and stop focusing on you for a change.
Smothering someone with "all of your stuff" may not be what they need because they have their own "stuff" too.
Breathe and motivate yourself to take some time and look inside yourself and see how you can set your own boundaries.
Give yourself the permission to bring life to those boundaries.
Give your boundaries a powerful voice and own them
This step is all about you figuring out who you are and what you want for yourself.
Accept that you place value in creating and setting your own boundaries.
Try some soul searching
Trust yourself to believe in you
Search for your own happiness
Listen to that tiny voice.
What is your heart whispering?
What do you want in your life to make you happy?
Who will you allow in your life?
Where do you want to go in your life?
Boundaries require mutual respect.
How will you respect your own boundaries when you are encouraged to compromise your integrity?
Accept your own right to have boundaries too.

Giving yourself
permission
to not be so hard
on yourself.
Allowing yourself
to be honest
with your
feelings
while
understanding
others may not be
receptive to your painful honesty.
Accepting
what you have no control over
and
giving yourself
the
permission
to free yourself
of
life's
burdens.
