Love is like
a cigarette:
temporary,
but worthless
if kept
unlit.
we stargaze because we know the answers we need are not on earth
i dont even know what this is!

Ohhhh Loving you came easy.
I shown you that a million times.
But the first time I say NO.
You act like I never said YES.

As you cried on my shoulder,
it watered the flowers that you planted in my chest.
What oozes out
                             (between the lines)
the scent of shaving,
your lean leg,
those dancing eyes,
waffles.

What can't escape
                                (the boldface type)
the door that slams,
your heavy feet,
dark eyes demanding
waffles.

What remains
                          (the words that blur)
a broken dish
your cracking wit,
my steady hand, now
waffles.

I just started melting at the sound of her voice

I posted my dream
on the side of a lamp post
In hopes she would see it
as she wandered by

Taking a moment
to realize the subject
Wearing a smile
and a gleam in her eye

A beautiful dream
filled with flowers and sunshine
Wonderful moments
I just have to share

Moonlight and poems
and walks through the country
Happiness found
every time I am there

So now I wait
down the street on a corner
On my front porch
that I just painted green

Waving to neighbors
who think I am crazy
They can't believe
that I posted my dream

That's when I see you
your chocolate hair flowing
Riding your bike
that looks like it's brand new

You stop and look
then you smile my direction
The message I posted
said my dream is you
Your are my dream come true

oh sun set at sunset,
oh set sun divine;
oh sun set at sunset,
oh set sun on mine.

each finger a print,
each palm in your hands,
each color a glint,
from immeasurable sands.

no out-of-time dance,
’tis artistic mystique,
no step left to chance,
it’s unveiling unique;

each a palette’s adieu,
as sunset's wine tips
with a lover's, ‘helloo’,
to kiss twilight lips.

forever the lover,
a gifting, a sign,
as dusk throws its covers
o’er the love it enshrines.

oh sun set at sunset,
my lover is you,
oh sun set at sunset,
'sweetest dreams’ to you too.

watching a sunset always reminds me
of the ardent kiss of two lover’s
bidding each other, ’good night!’
