your little voice
                    Over the wires came leaping
and i felt suddenly
dizzy
With the jostling and shouting of merry flowers
wee skipping high-heeled flames
courtesied before my eyes
or twinkling over to my side
Looked up
with impertinently exquisite faces
floating hands were laid upon me
I was whirled and tossed into delicious dancing
up
Up
with the pale important
                          stars and the Humorous
                                                  moon
dear girl
How i was crazy how i cried when i heard
                                            over time
and tide and death
leaping
Sweetly
          your voice

Drink me in
until I swirl
upon your tongue

then slide satin-deep
down your throat
to the top of your toes
and back up again

let me be
the underbelly
you take in
like a cup

then let us
ascend spinning
into an eternal
Sun*

Your lover heart makes the dying star rebirth again

like watercolors,
like light leaking
and souls breathing
like scribbling ink
like fragrance of dusk
and friendships caught
in embrace
the dearest, the closest
to heart
crumble like that
of fragile earth
I could sing u love songs all day
b/c u are my air; I am on fire 4
u but like Daniel I will not burn

u wash over me like a flood &
fashion me out of clay; standing
upright to gaze @ ur every star

ur every mountain is volcanic;
I sweat but do not sink below
ur flowing lava traces & igneous
whirlpools

swirling back to the center of ur
world & when it all settles & cools
& forests grow lush over all
the earth u will be the first to walk

barefoot there
Every woman has a goddess w/in
who personifies intuition & some
times men have them too; I know,
freaked me out too but since that
unnerving discovery I have learned
that the term for it is the Anima &
it lives w/in us all so I think it more
accurate to say we live w/in it/her;
Demeter in winter & Persephone
in spring; mother in dreams, lover
in our fantasies & sister in reality

You lie to me
like your word
depended on it
or is it worth
your word to me
do you value
what you speak
or do you speak with
a second tongue
deepening the divide
between us
man and woman
the battle amongst us
not knowing the real
value
of a woman

Just the lies
that linger
on you and your
traitorous tongue
Men and lying seems second nature
