Tryst
Oh what is life if not a thrill,
To crawl, to walk, to run downhill,
To mumble, crumble to old age,
To this end I shall live my days?

To be unseen, to be unknown,
To be afraid to be alone,
To toil to scrape a living wage,
To this end I shall live my days?

Or yet, to pillage viking halls,
To barrel-roll Niagara Falls,
To greet a shark without a cage,
To this end I shall live my days!

Oh what is life if not a thrill,
To this end I shall live my days!

Have you ever thought
Why your heart continues to beat
With all its pieces
Breaking farther
As the time grows

Have you ever thought
Why you still find it beautiful
To look at those starry skies
Every night
Through misty eyes

Have you ever thought
Why our palm has not yet
Lost its sensation
Even after holding on to things
Long gone and dead

Have you ever thought
Why do you never run out of oxygen
Even when sometimes you feel
The atmosphere closing in
on you

Call it fate
Karma, God's will Or simply hope,
You have to keep reminding yourself
The best is yet to come,
And you are far from being done.

and the worst part is-
you'll travel the world, you'll experience life and grow up, go far from here, and you'll still find yourself looking twice at every guy who passes by, hoping it's him. hoping he's somewhere looking for you, too.
I saw the wave that would drown me
And I did not move
But I hoped instead that it would not crash ashore
But what a fool I was to believe
That a wave would not smash into the sand
Stealing away bits and pieces of it
And pulling them into the ocean

I saw the wave that would drown me
And I stood there like a clown
Too afraid to stay and too afraid to go
Oh cruel wave
Do you see how you have killed me

Swallowed me up in your saltiness
Told me do not move or you will break
And breaking me anyway
And so I blend my brokenness with the sand
And I am washed away
Lost forever at sea
Just the sand and the broken pieces of me.
