One afternoon,
Darkness occupied my room.
Flashes of memories made it gloom.
You left me hanging, feeling doomed.
I was alone with a shattered heart.
Drowning in thoughts, bleeding into the night.
Completely lost, nowhere to be found.
Like our dreams that are buried on the ground.
And then suddenly, a ray of light blow past.
Right through the tip of my champagne glass.
My old self was awakened, the war has ended.
The battlefield fades, turned into safe haven.
In the middle of my chaos, I found her.
Guiding me across, holding me there.
Arms wrapped around, every now and then.
She was there and it felt like home again.
