E27
Sleep deprived mentally over it
Physically pushing through
Giving it all even when exhausted
From wild child to responsible adult
Remembering lost youth of moments
Wondering why it ended so quick
Treasured in the heart escape reality
Full of memories some good
Most ended bad with no say
No reason just a change in the seasons

She is full of words riddled with scars...
She is full of scars riddled with pain...
But yeah she is still standing...
She is still smiling...
And she is still beautiful just the way she is...
as the wind.
Pull you up off the ground.
Move you around.
We can go to places
you’ve never been.

I want to be
as the rain,
a soft and gentle refrain
that you collect in a cup
and drink the contents up.
Sweet as cherry wine.
Green as the leaves
on the vine.

I want to be
as the sun,
and make you feel warm.
I want to light up your face.
You have such a beautiful face.
It shouldn’t be hidden for long.

I want to be
as the snow –
coat you in pure white gold.
Spread your arms
and make angel wings.
And sing til
we scare off the crows.
Humanities coin two sided,
on the front eternal life

On the back annihilation
—on its edge we balance fright

I wear a mask to hide my emotions
Then I fill up the blank page with tears that dry to invisible ink
Keeping my feelings hidden or to someone with specials powers to uncover what I’m truly emoting like unscrambling a secret code to the real self that’s been hiding behind the mask...
The currency of time
—is blood
