I asked
Mama,
"What do
they
want from
me?"
and she
replied,
"All anyone
wants
for you
is
to be
happy."

In another world,
With trees of gold,
Would we have lived
On the same street?

Seldom, I wonder,
Would we have been
Born across each other,
Sharing the same gene?

Would you have  looked,
Outside of your window,
And instantly be spooked
To see, in front, a mirror?

No, it is not a mirror, that you see,
It's actually a window
And that girl, is me
Sitting on a pillow

I, like you, stay hours at my desk
With my favorite pen in hand
All is a bit Kafkaesque
And just like you,I like my tea fanned.

Time is my friend
Enemy, lover, fiend
It gives you everything
Also takes it away
There is never enough or
Is there too much

Time is a healer
Builder, destroyer
Makes you whole yet
Takes away your soul
With it’s inevitable passing
Till you are lost in its depths

Everybody needs it
For one thing or another
If not from a professional
We get it from each other
We talk and laugh and joke
About the things that are our troubles
To lighten our minds
And stop them crumbling to rubble
From something as simple as falling over to something as big as losing a loved one we all have traumas that need therapy be it professional or not keep your mind healthy
