can I be the tree, filled with fruit
pluck one, taste the sweetness and
if you so desire, taste them all

can I be the warmth that soothes
your cold heart, of lost lovers
fading into the rust of your memories

can I be the promise of something new
a new melody from some lost song
the tingling of the suns rays upon you
in the hopes to lift your head up
to see we are not them, we are
you and I
The words in a torrent flowed
Enthusiasm then unbound
But as the poem grew
The torrent slowed
The words could not be found

Advice she sought from one old man
To guide her on the way
Keep it simple keep it short
Was what that old man did say

When a pup is born it is the norm
To stagger on wobbly legs
Made of rubber no control
Over multi jointed pegs

But given time the muscles grow
And develop more control
And as the weeks and months progress
The pup becomes a whole

And so it is with our kids on here
You must learn to walk before you run
Then in the fullness of time
The greater works will come
Just a quick scribble
You're the trickle of fear in my sea of doubt
You're the limp in the leg that once wasn't healed
You're the cool in the breeze that makes me shiver
What you are kills me without a sound
You roar and scream
As I pay no attention
Which doesn't mean
What you say bounces off of my skin
It doesn't
It stings and slashes deep
But what can I do, to make you stop?
Nothing

Put on the suit,
give a big hoot,
going along you shoot,
down the highway.
Lug out your stuff,
telling yourself you're buff,
until you rest and huff,
deciding to stay.
Taking off the sandals,
feet touch ground-up gravel,
while picking up clothes to rattle,
feeling the sun beat with every ray.
The odd stink of sunscreen,
put on to protect and leave a sheen,
needs to absorb and not be seen,
so as to hop in and say yay!
Run! Run! It's so fun!
Here, you dive under the sun,
and float around until you hum,
just like a mocking jay.
The waves come crashing,
turning you to thrashing,
so suddenly you are gasping,
hoping everything will turn out okay.
Hands come to grab you,
They know what to do,
Later you find out who,
and know you want to pay.
Sandcastles are the best,
resting on your chest,
you begin the big crest,
until big waves come to dismay.
Finally you want to rest,
soaking in limited UV's are the best,
on a spot of sand you make your nest,
for an hour you will lay.
What makes the trip complete,
is picking up your seat,
to make everything neat,
and that sums up your beach day.

I will wait

From nightfall till daybreak,
I will wait.

Till your heart returns to my arms,
I will wait.

Till you see love through my wounds,
I will wait.

Till your eyes can see me again,
I will wait.

Till you return my love. I will wait.

For I live by my word. I love you and will love you till forever.

I will wait with a patient heart.
Although fears envelops my heart.

My God is beside me, He ensures me of your return.

Hasten O Lord, hasten your call. Because pain is eating my heart away.
Its wild in here

yet so peaceful

your love has made a forest out of me

i guess i know you
well enough by now to say that
i know you don’t want me, at least
not in your life. you want my body and
it hurts so bad to think that because
jesus i like you.
i like holding your hand and
looking in your eyes and
baby all ive ever wanted is you,
body and soul and
life and love and
i beg of you to please,
stay with me.
