Excuse me sir, but
"Heartbreak" isn't metaphor
It's physical pain.

One day a strong feeling rose,
it's time, to her I should propose.
But as fate chose,
I met only remorse.

Had written her a song,
which she found all wrong
As my eyes looked at the letter she tore,
'I want to never see you again!', she swore.

The pain was such, it was impossible to take
the pain of this horrible heartbreak
It felt as if she plunged into my heart
a ****** wooden stake

Her lips were cold
The smell of her thin hair was a smell you could never forget
A smell you craved when it was not lingering around
Her skin shined no matter what thoughts were making her brow furrow in the middle
She flooded your world,
your thoughts,
your heart,
you drowned yourself in her
She was the perfect storm in the middle of the night
She was the peaceful noises you heard outside your window
She was the necessity everything depended on,
You couldn't live without her.

Water ebbs and flows like the gentle breeze
Tourists lounge in chairs, watching with practiced ease
Bright blue skies dotted with clouds roll by
*** in hand, I sit and let out a contented sigh

Flashing back to the times of years long past
When wiffleball, sleepovers, and cookouts trended; not the latest reality cast
When movies, delivered pizza , and cake felt like the perfect day
And no one obsessed  over what social media had to say

Let’s bring back the joy of those  pure summer days
With nothing to do but let them pass in a daze
A fog over my mind, past worries but a whisper
Looking forward to good memories  with my brother and sister

Whether school-age or not, what a great time of year
Visits await with friends and relatives; vacation is drawing near
Take a moment just to savor it and let that feeling stay
For life will roll in like the tide and try to take it all away.
I know it's almost Labor Day, but just recently got the writing bug again.
And you as well must die, beloved dust,
And all your beauty stand you in no stead;
This flawless, vital hand, this perfect head,
This body of flame and steel, before the gust
Of Death, or under his autumnal frost,
Shall be as any leaf, be no less dead
Than the first leaf that fell,—this wonder fled.
Altered, estranged, disintegrated, lost.
Nor shall my love avail you in your hour.
In spite of all my love, you will arise
Upon that day and wander down the air
Obscurely as the unattended flower,
It mattering not how beautiful you were,
Or how beloved above all else that dies.

The Soul

The soul is what makes up a person. People can break your soul, so guard it with everything you've got. Most people don't want to break it. They want it for themselves. They leave you soul-less. So guard it with all you've got. The people of this world pretend like they love you, they pretend to be your friend. You can't trust them. They say they'll never leave you like the othera did. Then when they take your soul, they find another victim taking your soul with them. So guard it with all you've got. It's the one thing you won't regret.
I decided to write this based on some of my past just to get it out of my mind. I hope y'all enjoy.
