Ethereal temptress
liberation conquest
no contest
To digest, side step
days are longest
another one lying palsied on a doorstep

Have you seen the painted moon
existing on a blackboard sky
Do you see the kids in bloom
never stopped to question why

So it's there
Peninsula

Power struggle bazaar
oily tissue scarred
Count the czars
or count the stars

and be love
sunlight
where
your
fatal chord
of music
strains
the mute
scepter
of night
bleeds
crimsonly
a thin note
of thigh

I see you
Alone in a crowded room
Speaking about nothing
Going through life lost inside yourself
Thinking that you're invisible
But I see you

I see you
Cigarette in hand for something to do
Working away your time for nothing
Throwing yourself into anything to keep busy
Hiding from the pain you're afraid will lead you to hell
I see you

I see you
Silently crying yourself to sleep
Wondering why it has to be so hard
Wanting nothing more than to be free
Locked behind who you want to be
I  see you

I see you
So good inside, masked by a hardening shell
Heartfelt smile that shines in your eyes
So beautiful a heart that the world seems ugly
Too much disappointment, afraid to let go
I see you

I see you
Pain, excruciating, nothing to fill the gaping wounds
Liquid poured right through your soul
Ashamed of the past, afraid there's no future
One day at a time, a means to an end
I see you

I see you
Fighting everyday to be closer to good
Yet, believing all you touch turns black
Those who seek you out don't rate
Assuming they must be crazy to hang around
I see you

I see you
Happy for a minute and ashamed that you were
Thinking you poison all that  you love
Caring so much that it consumes you
Believing your doing right by cutting loose
I see you

I see you
Feeling like damaged goods
Sitting on the cusp of acceptance
Trying to re-assimilate
But more afraid of success than failure
I see you

I see you
Ignoring what's right in front of you
Pretending it's not deserved
Fighting your demons alone
Afraid to smile and bask in the joy
I see you

Can you see
That you don't have to fight alone
That you are loved just as you are
That you are an imperfect person
But you are still a good man
Can you see that I see the real you

Alone, she collects pebbles
from the sands of seashore
only to throw back each
with all her might, as if
its her revenge;
all of a sudden she stops
throwing them
back on the flat waves,
just to see them leapfrog,
a few times and vanish.

A sandcastle, he was busy
building on damp sand,
laboring alone like a child,
as if it means a lot,
but the spires refuse to
stay up, collapse again and again
against his wish.
it has become a total mess,
irredeemable for him alone,
or even with some help.

Perturbed he looks,
at the very moment-
from somewhere close by,
wind brings the overpowering stench
of rotting sea weeds and dead fish,
that makes them both look up
at once, by chance
and gaze at each other's face
as if they don't
recognize each other,
for a long, long moment.
The words I use may be simple
But why go and complicate the heart
With deep insightful poetic verse
When I love you just the way you are

I wouldn't want our love any differently
How else can I make you understand
I'll lay it out for you in this lovers view
Stating the facts as plainly as I can

I love the smile you share in the morning
I love to gaze at you both near and afar
I love the feel when our hands meld together
I love you just the way you are
Apathetic disposition
Plundered all emotion
It was a curse to be her everything
The fragile egg she clung to
It was as though
moon-flowers bloomed from my eyes
Never mind the thorns
That bulged out
Of my irises

What was I to do
With the abundance of affection
Would I forever be in her debt
Walk the straight and narrow
Sorely to express my gratitude
And relieve my ever so burdened conscious.

Think about this truth that I've never said before:
Every day I spend with you will leave me wanting more.

Think about this truth that I'm too afraid to say:
If you were to ask me surely with you I would stay.

Think about this truth that I'm too afraid to know:
If you knew that I love you, you would want to go.

Think about this truth that I'll never say again:
If this does not end well, I'm glad you were my friend.

Scribe my name upon your heart,
I'll scribe your name on mine,
Hold me close within your soul,
Let me know we're bound together,
With a love that's new and old.
Let me hold you when I will,
Stay with me forever,
Let's frolic in this world together,
And when it's over,
Meet once more,
And frolic in the world to come.
