O fair Helena descending-
How could you not look at me?
You were once Narcissus in the meadow;
Kissing the soil-
Blooming with lavenders-
Basking in the afternoon sun-
Where did all your sunshine go?

Your blurry reflection-
       of somberness;
                  heavy eyes;
                          calloused hands;
                                 disheveled hair;
                                   timid air-

                               Dismayed the goddess in you.

                                          Faded golden lyre;
                                     Withered Pierian roses;
                                      Crushed altar of flame;
                                            Mortal madness!
                                    Ascend back to the divines-
                                    Depart from this mortal coil;
                                 Be the Narcissus in the meadow.

magnifying the heavens does not generate peace of mind
admiration for counterfeit facts scramble your thoughts
intelligence comes to you in all elements
brilliant curiosity will rule if explored

Slightly Lovely
you don't know what you'll become,
but i promise it's worth it.
This world has made you strong and kind.
oh, what a wondrous thing,
to say,
"i fell apart, and survived."

yes, you'll be okay.
just keep breathing.
