As I awake
Into another dream
Falling free
With broken wings
How many more
For the dread of wonder
How many more
I attempt to scream
I pinch myself
But feel nothing
But the sting
Of being stuck
In slumbering...
Traveler Tim
I  walk  slowly  down  the  winding  path
of  my  lovely  summer  garden.

I  admire  the  blushing  roses
kissed  by  the  overnight  rain.

The  air  is  warmed
by  the  bright-faced  sun.

Many  bright  fragrant  blossoms
bloom  beneath  the  orchard  wall.

The  sun  flickers  through  the  fruit  trees
making  pretty  patterns  on  the  mown  grass.

I  then  sit  quietly
where  the  sun  burns  you  a  deep  brown.

Yes,  summer  is  wonderful
but  alas  it's  soon  gone.

Keith  Wilson.  Windermere.  UK  2016.
I was bound and gagged by my dignity
My virtue struggles to hold my voice hostage
I practice restraint but my bonds have slipped
And while I wait for the feeling to return to my hands
I bounce the ball in my solitary confinement
My silence screams so loud in my ears,
can you not hear it?

"I am coming for you!"
Beautiful, beautiful people
They play upon my mind.
The taste they bring about
Like the sweetest caramel from
My favorite candy store,
Which I visit weekly.
Much like these beautiful, beautiful
People.

These beautiful, beautiful people
To my left and to my right.
How can you expect me to get work done
While they're standing by my side?
Their electric smiles light up the room
And I use their glow to read.
To read upon the pages of their lives and all their longings.
To learn and once to study
All the movements of their bodies.
Like music as they're walking,
As they're sitting
Breathing
Talking.
Like music from their beautiful, beautiful
Souls.

And is it so surprising
That we have Michelangelo's David
With his Sistine Chapel and statue of one man.
We can all give recognition to
Leonardo Da Vinci
With his stunning Mona Lisa
And her beautiful, beautiful
Smile.

So please do not berate me
As I gaze upon your shoulders
As your hips are making movements,
Telling stories on the streets.
I simply cannot help it,
All these beautiful, beautiful people
They's never cease to be
The only thing upon my mind
Written for my creative writing class. I sit by a stunning young lady and it's so very hard to concentrate.
