I create poetry
by the car crashed juxtaposition
of thought and language.

I create poetry via metaphor,
metonymy, a slight wit.

I create poetry by the
beating and bastardization
of word until the line
breaks just right.
It never truly does.

You create poetry
in your every movement.

You create poetry in the
interaction and absolution
you carry within every waking
moment.

You create poetry only
by opening your beautiful
eyes each morning as
the sun rises eagerly
to see you.

You create poetry.

This, my pale
imitation.

I breathe in,
I breathe out,

sunlight comes in through the window and graces this
single particle of dust when it twirls the universe around;
like us when we dance

- it all comes into focus

Here's to the teenagers that congregate in sketchy places,
Tell their parents they are "at a friend's",
Get wasted on cheap liquor that they probably got from a homeless man,
And get high on every drug in their disposal.
Here's to the rebels that need to break free from rules,
That need an escape from reality,
Or that just want to forget some things,
Maybe not even forever, but for right now.
Here's to the generation of thots, sloots, and ******,
Those who think they're looking for a good time,
Or the ones who have yet to experience this,
Lying so much - you live two lives.
Here's to the youth of now,
Whether you're 16 or 20,
You probably are in this rebellious phase,
Or you will be soon.
Here's to you.

I'm close to exit 95
and I'm halfway to freezing
but still too shocked to do anying about it
My head is pounding and I'm pretty sure I'll sleep and
not wake up until midnight tomorrow
But all I'm thinking about is how desperately
I want to exit
I don't know what I want to escape I just know that I do
That's a lie
I want to escape my mind but that seems far fetched
so for now escaping my life will have to do
ii.
Say Something just started
and I switched the station because I thought the song was cliche
That's another lie
That's the thing about me, I lie a lot
mostly to myself
I use to love that song
But now it just makes me think too much and
my thoughts are stars that are better left without forming
Constellations

I see a girl in a car and she's smiling
It reminds me of my innocence and how I use to smile
when did I stop smiling?
iv.
My phone rings again and I know its you because
no one else cares that much as to actually call me
my hands tighten around the wheel
and I'm finding it hard to breathe
and soon I'm crying and for some reason
I wish suddenly that I could drown in my tears
and let them suffocate me
v.
there is a car that's about to hit me
but I'm not worried about the pain because
pain is mental and I lost my mentality the second
I realized I was in love with--

Don't love me to love me.
Love me to never lose me.

Hold me to never watch me go
and kiss me to never say goodbye.

Keep me only yours
*and I will keep you only mine.
I'm sorry.
