Like ever
What to do
When
Armageddon Arrives
Loot
******
Spend the day
With family
Just read a book
I don't know
If it happens
I'll think of something.

SPEAK UP ******
you quiet down
I speak
at a reasonable decibel
everyone else
is just too used
to yelling
probably.

A lot of things
all of which
can be ignored
a lot of which
should
be ignored
and some things
that people say
are quite important
and are probably
worth
remembering.
maybe not a lot
but a depressingly large
percentage certainly
but then
I would say that
so make up your own mind
if you haven't already.

Your lies were dipped in bittersweet chocolate;
with a heaping amount of caramel sauce drizzled on top.
I gobbled up more than I care to openly admit;
in fear of what others will think and say.
After enjoying your momentary treats;
came the truth;
with so much salt, it was baffling to eat.

A.K.A

The lies I ate, but
the truth I couldn’t take.

Symbols of death
At their best
Thry're plucked
And put on show
In the stares
They perish
Second
by Second
Maybe you
Should just
Leave them alone.

You are wounded
and when you heal
You will still feel
The pain
The scar will still
Be there
A crest upon your flesh
But you will still
Be beautiful

The cross stich of humanity
Is too complicated to be comfortable
Complexity and uncertainty
Unimaginably inevitable
Unless one is blind with fear
Or merely comfortably ignorant
Welcome to the city of Morphine where it rains acid and you feel no pain
A city where everyone is numb to the world
Where people dwell in the slums of misery
shattered lives and shattered glass cover the streets of Morphine
Fiends wander down the alleys of agony.

Not much
Then anxiety
Then waves
Of apathy
Take me under
I have mediocre lungs
So I can only stay submerged
For a little while
I tried to stay longer
But nature took over
Ah that desperate
need
For life
And I felt anxiety
Once again.
