Metaphor Poem
Anna Vanneste Apr 2014
We are only here to die.
All the blood sweat and tears you put into running your first marathon
That award winning book you wrote that captured the heart of millions of children
All the money that you won from winning the lottery...
Means nothing.
It all means nothing.
All of this...

Means nothing.

We are only here to die.
But it's the preparation that decides
What will happen after life.
The choices that you make in life will decide your fate after life

Which is death.

Letter Poem
Anna Vanneste Apr 2014
Dear God,
It's me.
Again.

I have left you with so many questions...
But no answers.

Why did you create killers?
I don't know.
Why do I have these feelings of hatred?
I don't know.
Why does my mother love somebody else?

I
DON'T
KNOW.

Why do I feel this way?

You bring us pain.
You leave me with one question.
One question.
One simple question that will never be answered on this stupid hateful earth.

What is your plan?

It makes nature dance
It's whistling through our ears
The blow of the wind

Poison Ivy Nature Poem
Anna Vanneste Apr 2014
Poison Ivy
Not to be mixed up with poison Oak
Thriving to irritate the human skin
Leaving people with days of a red itchy rash
So abundant and lively
Berries white, run on fright
A red vained plant of pure torture
Three leaves, let it be
Poison Ivy

— The End —
