Sreeyaa
the dusk kissed the dawn goodbye,
glittering moon, sparkling stars,
bursts of gold melting on the lilac sky,
streaks of amber, as the shimmering sun rose

the flowers will still poke
up to bloom this spring

and empty airline bottles
will still litter the sidewalks

and good and bad
will still reside
in all of us

and the struggle
between them
will still wage war

regardless
or perhaps
because of
what falls apart
or comes together
all around us

betterdays
Toes cold and aching
Fires flicker in amber dance
Red wine warms the soul

you inhale tragedies
and exhale poetry
From where do you get your perseverance?
