forgive me.

for every drop of poison i spit,
for every glare i impale you with,

forgive me.

for every time i mercilessly tear you down,
for every time i force upon your face a frown,

forgive me.

for each time i made you think, "we'd be better off without her."
for each time you wanted to say, "could you be any more sinister?"

forgive me.

for every single tear i cry as i write this,
for every stab in my throat as i hold the sobs in,

forgive me.

Slightly Lovely
I did not realize that love left you scarred.
That even if you moved on,
part of your heart is always loving them.

Lee's Tipsy Daisy
People want to live and people want to give. People want to be seen and people want to be heard. People die and people grieve. People speak and people breathe. People weep and people please.

Is it worth it? Is it easy? Is it right? Is it wrong? Have we left? Have we ruin? Are we right? Are we wrong? No one knows. No one throws. No one is right. No one is wrong.

People lie and people die. People love and people lie. People fall in love and people cry. People break and people mend. People are helpless little critters scurrying about under a torn and scarred sky. Lord save us.

Events do not change the truth.
Guess.

Where do leaves
go as they fall
to the ground?

Do they travel
the world or
stay in town?

Do they love
dancing through
the breeze
or long for
union with
beloved trees?

Do they pretend
to be butterflies
floating
and
fluttering
through the sky?

Are they aware
of decomposition
or
Breaking down
slowly once hitting
the ground?

Are they aware
of reality?

Do they know
their existence
won't lead to
permanent fatality?

Are they aware
of the essence
that births
new life
as seeds sprout
from the soil
of Mother Earth?
