I can see
From right to wrong
I make those choices
Everyday
A glass of water or a six pack
Shake it off
Or chase those blues away

I fled the cave
Of voiceless shadows
To know the other side
The path beyond
The supernatural
A light shining
From an objective sky

The superstitious mind
Will often wanders
Like a rat
Trapped in a maze
Chewing through
The fabrications
As rationality
Finds it's way

Raw passion so intense it intoxicates
Captured in a moment of no escape
Two lovers erupt in heated naked bliss
One spark from her eyes and the fuse is lit

Brush of skin and an electric charge ignites
******* *****, chill bumps take flight
The scent of pheromone impairs the senses
The fulfillment of desires, the unspoken consensus

Take in deep, that driving heat
Perspiration flows, dampened sheets
Saturated in lust and no regrets
Life is awesome I must confess...

Could my words describe a familiar place
A feeling of love or a bitter taste
Or do they echo through time as an endless rhyme
Never stopping to unravel, leaving naught behind

Perhaps they’re merely spoken out of such demise
An incoherent babble of a madman sublime
Should they speak of rage as of life in a cage
I have written of hate, such a shocking page

Yet I would that my words could somehow describe
The part of me I tend to hide
And so you may know I am somebody else
Than the person you see when you look in yourself

Dark matter apathy
Evolution on the brinks
Extreme suffering
Existing in a void
Famine, torture, disease
Western bomb deployed
Somewhere in this existence
There must still be humanoids

Plague the heart of hearts
I'm afraid we've been
Taken advantage of
Blind sided
Somewhat deceived
From the very start
From Jesus to romanticism
Love is larger than life
Surely there can only be
Magic in bed with
Ones own wife
And no other pleasure shall
A mortal dare embrace
For-bitten fires that burn
Out of their place
What then?
The cave compels
Shall we retreat
Into our own hell's
Or redirect

From ideologies

Escape through the shadows and cracks

To catch

My presence remains
In those boxes
In your basement
Is my domain
I was once there with you
As the photos do disclose
But now I’m just a shadow
Left from years ago

I have simply been forgotten
And my ghost is no big deal
Packed away so neatly
In a box marked "Goodwill”

In the nighttime I’m a dream
The one you used to have
In the morning I’m still missing
But you’re no longer sad

I must have sent a dozen letters

Sticks and bones
Can write a poem
But words are
Seldom worthy
To explain
A deeper want
Like real beef

Bones and sticks

When someone clipped my wings
I landed on your doorstep

You set me on a throne

Settling over our industrial cities

Have you no empathy nor pity

Can we start over

By the light of day
