One kind word can change a person's entire day,
but beware, for unkind words can do the very same.

Tales from the subway

When you think about it the subway is the best way to observe human life
You see people from all walks and skin tones getting to their destination
If you're like me occasionally you'll encounter the homeless and the visibly forsaken to that mentally ill lady in the last car, we love you dear just keep it down please
And the ***** hippies feeding bread to their dogs, you teach me to value clean
To the Chinese woman reading English aloud haltingly, you show us the reality of immigration
There's the young man with the daycare T-shirt, dispelling stereotypes, one stand at a time
Everyone is here, and everyone has a place
Here on the subway
Just make sure to grab a seat, because you're going on a mental journey
So many ideas, so many places to see, so many new things to learn and experience,
much thanks to that girl who brought out a new confidence in me,
It's plain to see I love the subway
This was done with a major assist from my sister echo :)

Oh, who doesn't know one?
Some, are even close to us.
They in everybody's business but their own.

Gossiping upon the phone or roaming in your home.
Spreading this or spreading that.
Then deny it all when confronted with truth.

Oh, those with nothing.
Always seeking to get into something.
So they in everybody's business but their own.

Now they texting it on social media or the phone.
"You don't do it like me, so you're doing it wrong.

Only the dead are entitled to their styles."

Your community
Build it up, build it up.
Make it something to be proud of living.

Stop comparing your situation to the wealthy side.
Many of times money dictates the level of crime.

Trouble doesn't always get those arrested with wealth.
They support the mayors and the governors during election time.
So essentially law enforcers over look certain level of crimes.

Your community,is what you want it to be?
Especially if you not trying to self police to keep it clean.

Drug dealers rather friends or not.
Brings trouble to your neighborhood and you just  a supporter.
If you not reporting the fools doing the trade.

And many times, you just as guilty.
Although you might not see it.
Sometimes churches plays a vital part.
If they not addressing ways to clean up your city's in various ways.

Your community is simply a reflection of you.

Lately, all the darlings have started tasting the same and all the books keep preaching about the catharsis of going forward and I'll not be condemned to be Lot's wife's' tragedy but ******* this is growing up and everything is shrinking like the bible my mother threw in the washing machine by accident. All the wild has gone to my fingertips and there is no longer an energy to board trains to god-knows where because I know better now.
I don't longer miss you and I call my father daily now and I have a fond appreciation for dead things. Sometimes I think of all the times I prayed and all the times I sinned with you in mind and I know this is the guilt of poets. We are the victim and the instigator, we play our cards right and you resent us for it. And I write to you because it's easy to say things to people you hate. Like kissing someone and not tasting their blood but someone else's and enjoying it. Revenge in, not one, but all the ways you know how.
I often dance naked to Claire de Lune, do you know why? There's an elegance to being primordial and vulnerable. There's grace in things we find obscene. I cannot dance, mind you but I dance thinking you're watching. Much like shaking the hand of  a married man and lingering with his wife within earshot, there's a thrill knowing you'll be caught.
Thus, I write my inhibitions and fears in poetry hoping you'll someday read them with absolute stoicism. I dare you to show a little emotion. I dare you.
