2am
Im at a stage in my life
that seems to cycle
throughout the years

A rollercoaster of
daffodils and rain clouds
Those moments of disabelief
Not feeling quite human
not feeling quite strange
In the middle of knowing
and not knowing yourself

The endless hunt for understanding
why you're here
at 2am on a sunday night
and those nights seem to pour on
like a spring day

Those moments when
the sun shines on your face
and you're not sure whether to smile
or wish the sun would burn you
to pieces

You're not sure why you feel
this way
You just feel
because you have to
This feeling drowns me, feeling like heavy paint

Kewayne Wadley
She covered me in paint.
Filling me with her outlook.
Standing there drenched we both laughed.
Her hands covered in acrylic.
She fed me apple sauce browns and pepperoni reds.
Banana cream tans as well as blueberry blues.
Her thoughts covered me in taste.
Hands warm to the touch.
Covered in paint I was identical to allĀ her favorite things.
I became the table which she viewed the world.
Splashed in infatuation

Yellow
Paint me yellow
elephants
Golden trunks flalling in the
blazing sun
A gentle touch
apricot finger tips
to their skin
Fine and dry
smooth like the sand
Let their aura cleanse
my soul
let me breathe again
Hazy mornings
fuzzy eyed
and yawn filled bubbles
make me go slack
Yellow elephants
Come to me in a dream
bless me with your presents
Renew me again
I was in a daze
