Dear Stranger
Dear Stranger
In yesterday's hugs
I got lost in your scents
I didn't want to let go
I was left in a trance
So, I engraved you in my heart
And buried you in a poem
I am justice
Blind to colour
Blind to race
Blind to tribe
I play it right

Before me;
All men are equal
Before me;
Might is not right
Right is right

Before you act; think
Before you talk, filter
If you do the crime
Trust me, you'll do the time
For my gavel will I bang
wind whines
haze rain
flings dishtowels
dupatta from
balconies.
150 kilometers
from the sea
I feel the chill,
nature bestows
a mini-monsoon,
relief
from summer’s sweltering
tirades.
but what destruction
could this storm, too, bring?
