Mother's Day

Mother's Day
Mother sways
Over the grave
Of the child who misbehaved
Daddy lost his mind
For what had happened he was blind

Letting Go
Kasey Landry May 2019
The leaves crunch as I walk,
Now we hardly ever talk.
You haven’t been seen,
Since the leaves were green.

As the trees rustle in the wind,
I realize missing you would be a sin.
Branches let go of their leaves,
But still, you won’t let me breathe.

I must let you go,
You have hit me too low.
Cold gray clouds fill the sky,
I must now say goodbye.

Present, Past, End
Kasey Landry May 2019
Our life is madness
This can only bring sadness
We are told to go with the flow
Yet life is anything but slow
Our lives go by so fast
Before we know it, we’re living in the past
Running around till we drop
Our life finally comes to a stop.
