The leaves crunch as I walk,
Now we hardly ever talk.
You haven’t been seen,
Since the leaves were green.
As the trees rustle in the wind,
I realize missing you would be a sin.
Branches let go of their leaves,
But still, you won’t let me breathe.
I must let you go,
You have hit me too low.
Cold gray clouds fill the sky,
I must now say goodbye.
