I'm just a shade of purple,
in a black and white world.

You confuse me, you truly do.
But what's more confusing is how time, and time again my mind continue's to wonder back to the thought of me & you.

When we are together, everything is perfect.
You look at me and smile with that gorgeous smile of yours, showing me that there is no place you would rather be.
You kiss me as if it's the first and last time you will ever see me.
You cup my face in your hand, one hand on my cheek, and the other on the small of my back pulling me close to you.
Yet, when we are not together we barely talk. At first I had wanted more than just human affection from you, but began to realize that that was enough.
So I set myself up to not get attached.
But the moment you say you want more than this, I'll be yours.

Find someone who will go to little coffee shops with you.
Find someone who will adore you for the little things.
Find someone who says "us" or "we", instead of "you" or "me".
Find someone to spend late night's with, and early morning's.
Find someone who will travel the world with you.
And lastly,
find someone who will fall in love with you, as you fall in love with them as doing these things.

Oh child you say you wish to fall in love?
But all you know of love is that it is a four letter word, that brings people happiness. You have yet to be told of the horror's that have taken place because of love, nor have you been told of how it brings more people down than it lift's up.
No child, you do not wish to fall in love.
You wish for happiness.
Upon wishing for love, you wish for heart break without even realizing it until its much too late.
Wishing for love is oh, so much more than you could even begin to comprehend.
Therefor, child do not wish to fall in love,
wish to fall in happiness.

But you, you're this special kind of beautiful.
You're the kind of beautiful that people see in sunsets and shooting stars.
The kind of beautiful that starts at the depths of ones soul, and travels to the outer workings of ones body.
