I love it when she’s blue,
I love it when she’s gold,
I love it when she’s silver,
I love it when she’s cold,
I love it when she’s quiet,
I love it when she’s bold,
I love it when she’s calm,
I love it when she folds
I love her for her secrets,
I love her for her songs,
I love her for her rights,
I love her for her wrongs,
I love it when she moves me,
When she pulls me,
When she soothes me,
I love it when she’s red,
I love it when she’s gray,
I love it when she’s mine,
I love it when she strays,
I love her for her warmth,
I love her for her stare,
I love her for her depths,
I love her for her care.
I’m in love with ocean. Her beauty, her grace. The secrets she harbors, the life she gives to all creatures. I love the way she holds me & makes me feel free. I am euphoric, I can see her now. No caps because I am truly meek in her presence.
To be the poet is really not that much

To be the inspiration
That takes a certain touch.

I struggle with the words to capture that time. Alone with the vision of you so sublime.

The worse part of  having a muse.
Is that to them you are of no use.

If anyone cared this much about you to focus their day on all that you do.

You would feel so happy, its what you want most . But your eyes are blind to this simple host.

You search so long for someone to hold you dear all the while I'am right here.

My words written here you'll likely never see and the love that I felt will be felt but by me.

Walking into the room where you once resided
There’s an eeriness of seeing your pictures
Your knick knacks
Your clothing
But not you
Our laughter echoes as we try on your fun jewelry
You shine through our smiles as we reminisce
We sift through your belongings
Combing through the years of memories
Feeling your presence in this empty room
Walking through the hallways of this place you knew and loved
You were a celebrity here
Every nurse and patient would smile and say hello
Now we share a solemn smile as we pass by
We see your closest friends together at lunch
Though there seems to be an empty chair
We know you’re there
Always sharing in the good company of others
So many felt your love
So many felt your joy
Now moving through this place
There’s an emptiness
But we know you’re there

You weren’t a mother or a grandmother
You were sent to Earth
As a guardian angel
For me
For my mother
For my grandmother
For so many
You made the world so much brighter
Leaving flecks of angel dust on everything you touched
From the playing cards you picked up frequently
To the chocolate milkshakes you got me after lunch
No one was a stranger to you
Everyone was drawn to you
Through your smile
Your clothes
Your angelic personality
I could listen to your stories over and over again
And I did
The time you dyed your hair pink
The time you sat next to the cutest guys in your class
They never got old
I can still hear your charming laugh
Feel your love
You were an angel on earth
And now you have gained your wings

It welled!
then receded
Then again
It welled!
And it felt
Like "my heart's on fire"

We are wired together
And we become tired together
And we find flame together
And become lame together

We are mates of the soul variety
Destined to cross paths, why are we
Able to deny that destiny?
When I can so easily rest in thee

We have and
It welled!
Like a spring unable to contain itself

You
Make me feel this way
The way the heavens must have felt
When they finally met the earth
Feeling deeply and giving birth
To their eternal partnership

It wells
It recedes
It ebbs
It flows

Too young to know
If the flowing and the ebbing
Let something else
Remain

This third thing
This us
(There are our actions)
Then there is us

Will we persist;
Prosper
Or
Pain?
I am skeptical of you
How do I trust an *****
That's been so wrong
In times past?

You devil,
Reaching out to hold the hand of a new lover
When you haven't let go of the past

It took a long, long time
But I learned how to turn you off
And now that you're on standby
I don't know if I can trust you

Heart,
Battered by baggage
Beaten to the bone,
Do your nerves still work?

Are you able to discern the inner workings
Of the paramour's heart?
Are we compatible?
Are we in love?

Are we loving each other?
Are you able to be trusted
With our great future?
