I made a mistake
I meant to be perfect

But I colored outside the lines
On purpose

I crossed the line
That meant to keep the lines inside

Because I'm not supposed to do it

Climate Change
JaxSpade Aug 2018
You were standing in the corner
Of my eye

I heard you rambling on
About the reasons why
You changed

You were a year of seasons
Ending in a cold December

How I missed your summer face

Before it would Fall in Autumn

You used to have Spring in your step

That seems to have disappeared
And while you were standing in the corner
Of my eye

It rained

Out Of Shape
JaxSpade Aug 2019
The triangle ate himself into a circle
Because people told him he was too square
And they meant the informal definition
So he kept eating to change his shape
He added a few pounds that multiplied his weight
But that didn't help
He wanted to be wondrous
Why couldn't he have been a rhombus
Why couldn't he have been born into a parallelogram family
I saw him sulking in the fact he was half the diagram
I told him he needed to go on a diet
And strengthen himself  into a pyramid
And only then would his base be the foundation
Of the family
He has always wanted

Seductive Night
JaxSpade Sep 2018
I fell into the arms of the night
Hugging the shadow of her silhouette
She pulled me in
And swallowed my eyes

Her fingernails
Traced my lips
As she took a bite

And I caressed her darkness
Without the need for light

Over curves and starkness
My hands were sight

Then she stood tall in the sky
Thick and wide

And as she laid over my body
She cloaked our delight

We played in sweat and Fahrenheit

And as she pitched black
She arched her back and began midnight

A few more hours
The sun came bright

       Then she disappeared
       And spit out my eyes

Drawing flies

Sinking in the deepest of ****
Feeding your maggots
So you could survive
When you wish you could die
Instead of live

Drawing flies

Smelling like ****
You sink deeper into it
Developing habits

Drawing flies

Feeding your maggots
Breeding your lies
On rotten garbage

You wish could die
But some how you manage
Looking like ****
Sinking into its damage

You're Drawing flies
When you should've flushed the toilet
You went for a ride

Now your living in the sewer
Smelling like manure

You wanted die
Maybe you should do it

Because your drawing flies
And the tears you cry
Just won't wash away
Everything your doing

You're drawing flies
Living in the sewage
***** in a lie
And its too late to try
Because you're just a guy
Who **** on his life

And stepped into the image

The black little letters
Fall off the black block of a word grater
Inbetween the holes
Are the slices of the ink splattered
They pile on a plates platter
And a story forms the matter
Food for a face fatter
A paragraph buffet scattered
Have a seat and flll with laughter
It's a recipe for actors
Each scene a new chapter
Stirring in the plots factors
Little black letters
Walk across a books chedder
And you'll remember not to forget her
All her words rendered
Cooking in warmths splendor
Each page read was a new ember
Igniting the next pages paper
Fire in an authors blender
A purree of black letters
Drinks a tall glass of readers
Mouth breathers fill theaters
And spend millions to see her
Little black letters
Falling of the scripts
And entering gutters
They drain into alphabet ocean
And wait for a new arranged stoich
He dont know it but these
Words will find their way into the poet
And on this page I show it

I could write another bite on your neck
And sink my words like fangs
Into your flesh
What would it mean
To you this time
After everything I've said
The way I've danced with alphabets
And letters fancied in dress
I could watch the blood pour down
The piercings over the drool I left
What would it mean to you
All that you've read
I've poured a glass of consonants
Over some ice cold vowels
And stirred it with my pen
You drank it all
And now you're a mess
Stumbling around a drunken wreck
Still taking shots of paragraphs
The bottle is empty I tell you
You're high on the cheap stuff
I should have warned you
You're going to throw it all up

Cold falls
Into October's jaws
It couldn't stay warm
For longer than forever

We were

Thoughts of the
Winter
Apart
From the face it kissed
On earth

Bound to the heavens
Or hell it could
Be hot

As the body drops
Temperatures
Tears dry up

And cold falls
Into heavens paws
Or hell it could
Be claws

Thoughts of winter
A heart
Shivers
In thoughts delivered
By a hand

      Gone

Is the summer
Burned in a lovers arms
It couldn't stay
Longer than forever

We were

Cold and purple lips
One last kiss
For the recklessness
Of snowfall

In the jaws of October
Frozen in the clocks
Of hopelessness and
Each other

We shall freeze in forever
Longer than
We were

This evil
Creeps into the heads

Spreading cancers as evolution
Evolving to death

**** demons
           Following men

While the devil dances with their women

This evil creeps
& crawls into skin
Slicing babies
& dicing their limbs

For the root of all evils
Shares in our sin
In generations of children
To what have they learned

Life so precious
It could be sold for worth
Trafficking disgust perverted
& birthed

This evil
Devouring flesh
Possessing the news
Where the truth is dead

It lives in our leaders
In each other it spreads
It denies our Jesus
And our way to be his

This evil
You feel in bed
When you think about
How you act
& what you did

Could you ever forgive
Like our God always has
For this evil
We submit to
When given the chance

A trip in my rocket ship
JaxSpade Sep 2018
I met a girl
That said she lived
On the inside of the moon

Under all the dust
And Moonrocks
Lived the gold locks
Of my girl

She's from another world
That believes in love
And glows a reflection
Of a star

She lives inside of the moon
I'm looking at it now

I know she's in there
Dying her gold hair purple
Because she's not from around here
And she never wants to be

Anywhere else

She loves the outer space
And inside the moon
She stays away
From here

With her eyebrows pierced
Just like her lips
She takes me on trips
Inside the moon
Where

She lives

As we kissed
In the moondust
The cosmic dripped
               Lunar lifts
Under the surface
Of the moons
Purpose for our
                Fetish

I dyed my hair blue
And left the earth
To be with her inside
The craters
Cherished

Inside the moon
There was a home
Made

For us

Turning out the lights
Pulling the covers of sleep
Over the eyes
Staring into the black
Colored thoughts arrive
In visions of dreams
That reality never has
Snuggling pillows
Is better than the lover
You used to have
Keep your eyes closed
You don't need another hope
To die alone
Fold your hands
Hang your head on the rope
Of loneliness
Your dream is gone
And so are you
Turn the lights out
And float in the hope
That someday
Love is more
Then than pain it scarred
Eyes melting
On a tears burn

Like a candle dripping
Slowly hurt

Ice melting
In the summers
Hearth

Icy eyes
Melting

Him & Her

They used to be so cool
And they were so chill

Until one day
Every thing changed

And they started to melt

Of love

We ride along

Fighting

       For the world

We're building the strength

For it
    To fall

So we could get back up again
                                   And love
On the poetic hills

Partys

              In alcohol

Naked under our clothes

We ride along

Fighting

       For the world

We're going to be strong
When everything goes wrong

And smile
When everyone is back
      In eachothers arms

While she puts on
Those poetic heels of love

We ride along

Pushing and fighting
      For mother earth

On the poetic heels of femme fatale

We write along

On the poetic hills

Dispirited and Crestfallen

By the world
And all its
Melancholy
Morose
Disconsolate

It's so despairing
Wretched
Dejecting and woebegone

It seems a neverending blue
Wrapping around you
Pulling your smile down

And devouring

   There is a cure
Called ice-cream

Feel like a kid again
With a few licks
You'll forget about
      The sad things

The cool cream
      Vanilla swirl
In chocolate covered eye dreams

Don't be conquered by the world
And all it screams

Just grab your self a cone
Of your favorite flavor known

And enjoy the cure

Red lanes
flashes of highways
And guitars
Wailing in the backgrounds
Of lava lamps
We parked
A hundred miles away
From no where
Anyone else had been
In the frontiers of existence
Inside a human being
Feelings of somewhere else
We know we'll be
Absence from all the everything
Happening in every scene
Is the ending dreamed
We will always be in the future
Of what is passing
Us by
Flashes of highways
Colored mars
Strobe lights crashing
On fluorescent clothes
Black lights glowing
In the dark
With lipstick art
And passion in automobiles
With passing cars
We take it all off
And be naked in the garden
Once more
We begin and again
We live in the moments
Of everything we do

Foraging
Through the atmospheric
Forest green
I found the fruit and vegetable
Of nourishment
On a cloud shaped tree
There it was dangling
In the star lit morning
Under my conscious dream

While I floated outside of my being

Answers for the cancers
That mauled and screamed
Cures for the homosaphien
Strength for the weak
I filled my basket
And both my cheeks
I saw the future standing
On the passing steets
Directing the traffic
That ran over me
I began to wake up
And lose what I'd seen
So I grabbed my pen
And recollected
This memory

Picking at the brain

Replaced by a scheme of numbers
Beelined

Forest darkening
Searching for a light
That could shed some sight for me
I found some fireflies
Floating in the iris eyes
Thankfully hoping
They could lead me to Jesus Christ

The clouds were moving through the moonlight
And her beams peeked through the curtain
Under naked eyes
The stars crossed
A fireside of bites frost
        The found was lost
In the deep skies polka dots
She seas spots in the oceans thoughts
                                                        Of her life
There wasn't anything she could change
Her clothes and what the weather sought
To glow
Behind the moonlight
And the clouds curtains closed
                         On her open heart
But he knows what was truly lost
                                     The raindrops
Which kept falling on the headlights
In the sunshine of the storm
They could put their clothes on
If they weren't already torn off
No one wants to sew
For in a haystack of needles
It's hard to find the straw
If you're not a scarecrow
   She was the moonlight
   Moving through the clouds
And her beams poked through his eyesight
Before the curtains closed

Belting tones and exploding them
Shooting stars

Blazing upon the atmosphere
Leaving a trail
Like a musical note
Floating in your ear
Something for the night

When the sounds penetrated
They entered the brains stem
They pounded a dope beat
With a dope drum
And it pounded continuously
Into my cranium

When the night came
There was a magical existence
Of a phenomenon appearing
Out of thin air
Another whiskey bottle
I can still hear the jazz
Tugging on my ear lobe
Molesting my hands
The way she wraps around me

The glass reflected
Figures inbetween *******
And sipping
The room curved along a wine
Background
Capturing laughs
In the sounds of gossip
Echoing
No one in this room
Would even mention God
However they worshiped many
As they planned murders
And counted pennies
A piano played in the distance
It was an old tune but nobody listened
They were too busy foraging
For an opportunity to be their savior
Like a hungry pack of wolves
Knashing their teeths razors
Only the wrong kind of love circulated
Shook hands and instigated
Evil wrapped in the arms of scoundrels
And their words defecated on each others ears
As God listened in on their plans
They didn't know he was there
No one could see him
He was invisible
Yet if he showed his face they still would not have recognized him
God left the room and not one journalist could have written about his attendance
What they wrote was a different order
A subliminal narrative of sorcery
That would be fed to the gullible
And fatten the lost uneducated illogicals
So many that followed were thirsty and hungry
And they circled about like a pack of hyenas
With evil laughter in their mouths
The moon wasn't even full
This was the new normal
As they conquered the world

Falling off the edge of the earth
              Caught by the universe
Swallowed by the mackerel sky
                     The universe cried
                      For an astronaut

  Au revoir!
Ager chills
I tugged the pulley bone

A wish
           A dive
           In a new alive
Far away from home

Floating in the devilment

                  High
                  And high

Avoiding the frog-stranglers
                         And sediment

   I sighed a why
Should I ever try

A return to the life of
           Abandonment

Time
Is in the valley
Of deception
And we peruse
His face ticking
Perceptions
He is the master
To our slaving over
Every minute
We desire
More than our creator
Time
Orbits every spaces
Surface
Every matter
In every purpose
It passes age
With galactical rotations
Spinning in different directions
Obeying laws of obedience
Ticks and tocks walk across
Numbers in calender socks
Every wrist displaying a watch
So we know what to obey
When it looks at us back

I grew a flower
It sits on the table
In a vase with water

It took so much time to grow
To watch it wither so slow

Each petal fallen
Watches my wrinkled skin

Which one of us will fight
To the end

I never knew her
JaxSpade Jun 2019
I never knew success
I heard she was quite the celebrity
I've always wanted to dance

But she never wanted any of me

I can only fantasize
About her lovely lips
I could only dream of a passionate kiss

Success and I
A warm embrace
And staring at her beautiful face

She's just a dream I love to dream
But I've never known her

And I've heard she's the best

But I've never known success
The only girl I've ever known is

              Loneliness

Velvet Night
JaxSpade May 2019
The night was velvet
Goose bumps arrived
While nails slide across the chalkboards
Habit

Screeching
Everone was reaching
For their eardrums
                     Grabbin'

And I was sittin in the middle of this scene
Sandwhiched

I took out my note pad
And started scribblin
              Some scrabble
And here is what I wrote
In the bibble of my babble
~

The night was velvet
Soft in deep colors
And I was visually drowning
In the sea of misunderstanding
With the rest of the others

They wanted me to describe
The drastic destiny of why
We are all here

And when will we all die

On the last night you remembered
                            The night was velvet

The touch that affected you different
You felt that moment

The purpose of you being
Was alive in the breath you spoke
And when you spoke it
You said you'd die

When the life around you exploded

I couldn't question the answer
So I answered the question
Life is just a history of  lesssons

To test your knowledge of learning
What the gift is

And you've learned
The night was velvet

A soft downey skin
Tufted along the fabric of life in sin

When will this all end
As the goosebumps spark fear
In my head hoping I'm not accountable
For everything I did

I think about all I have read
And hope that it is adequate

But I feel the only thing that I've learned

Is...

The night was velvet

My masquera drips
Onto sticky lips
Colored black and red
They mix with tears of death
And losts breaths
They ran
All my make up
And messy break ups
I can't stand
I'm a broken man
My lipsticks
Hold my head
All my makeup smears
With a womans tears
My face is mirrored
What do I look like now
An unpainted growl
I'm a dog
Beat down
All of my make up
Tears of a clown

Poetry is..
My battered heart
And broken brain

My soul on a stick burning pain

Poetry is..
My tears ink
My blood flow
My lungs breath

Everything my eyes see

Poetry is.. all

It's all of me

In every angle
In every thing

Poetry is..
The song I sing

The notes I read
The cuts I bleed
Its the love I please

Poetry is..
The world

             I live
          To be

A small wind blew over my doldrum skin
As I laid there in erosion

Withering back to the dust I came from

Each day another break from my face
Another shed of human remains
Is giving into the future

The creeping take of time
Follows behind the sun in a cosmic circle

The rise of morning
The fall of night
My blood flows through the encounter of life

I stay here breathing more destiny
Inside my coffin of fate
I'm still unsure of where am I

The soft sounds of quiet
Whispers of elm and violet

I could only imagine
The smell of fires

And the look of flames
With their cotton skins
Crackling

Each pop tracing embers
Into the skies thought

The stars laughing at my art
Grasping for another color

I dip my pen in the water
And sink my thoughts in an otter
Only to find out
It was a muskrat

I've never seen one before now
They sure make beavers look much bigger
Than on TV

In all my gaze
I watched a steelhead pass by my bait
That beautiful red
Left me in moss
And silent breaths

And by the way
This isn't a poem

But I wrote it any way
As a reminder
Why words gather
Blackberries
And the way they pierce
The fingers poking
With their thorny vines
Leaving blood on poetry sites

All these thoughts on fire
The smoke dissipates
As the coals get hotter

Now the wood is almost gone
The melted frame of my bottle
Reminds me what is left

The emptiness of heat
The turning cold
And why you bothered to read
The scroll

Your welcome
Said thank you for coming
But there is one last warning

I can erase
Every word placed
Anything that says
What was written on my face

I can take away the metaphors
And close the opened doors
Of my minds endless complaints

I can delete
Every avenue and every street
Each and every word
That slips through my teeth

Every drop that drips from my ink
I can delete
Faster than you can think
Quicker than you can read
And evaluate my poetry
In what it lacks or needs

I can delete
The nature of this beast
Before it has a chance to eat
What my pen tried to feed

I have that freedom
To delete em
To trash them in a can
And leave em

I can delete
this plastic poem
And it just might
Self destruct at your feet
In your home

Perhaps you resent this
And the power of my emphasis

I can delete it all
While you question my mark
With exclamations
Inside my parentheses

I can delete it all
With no worries to fall
On the dead horse
Beaten once more

To a pulp

We just want to be shone

Hard times fall
Like the winter snow
Each flake melts morose

Gaze here I
As a snowman
With eyes
Melting away my soul

For It's so hard to get by
And I keep wondering why
I even bother with my carrot nose

Hard times fall
And now I dissolve

The end of kiss
JaxSpade Sep 2018
Kiss me goodbye
Into the winds river
Lift me high into the skies
To breathe and exhale the weather

Pour me down the heavy rain
From the dark clouds thunder
Push me in goodbye kisses
Puddled in lovers
Strike me with lightening
In your eyes glimmer
And drown me in your long gone
Stricken with forever

Shallow dripping
Creeping overhead
Under my chin
I felt your hands
The wandering
Feels like your mine

Kiss me goodbye
Into the forest of photographers
Under the pictures framed
Bewildered in conifers
Walk me into the rain
Push me in arms again
Wrap me around and round
Digg your nails in

Dripping shallow
Overhead creeping
I felt your chin
Under my hands
Feels like your wandering

In a goodbye kissing

A poets heart loves
With a blissful kiss
Of words in twist
With metaphors of sexually lettered alphabets
With just a few jots
And suggestive jest
The poet has you spreading
Your legs
Your arms
And your heart to length

How does a poet love you say
It is easier to show
Than to write bouquets
He loves with his soul
With his life you take
Everything he owns for your own buffet
A poet loves with his pen displayed
In an art form staged in a cabaret
Yet the easiest way
To understand love his way
Is over a glass of Beaujolais
In lingerie

The mood
Played a fiddle

With the music of a violin

I followed the same hips
To the tune of feminine

Then I mastered the gentle fiddling
And the plucks of pizzicato

Before the moon cried
Her desperate eyes

For the sound of a cello
