Ignore the veiled murmur beneath
the social graces and party conversation

excuse this bland ****** arrangement
feigning interest in tales worn thin
cruising the same old Memorial Parkway.

This, and the embedded gravel
marking each grim rotation:

expectation
disappointment
anger

the weight of relentless perfection.

What makes you feel that you would want to
That you would like to
That you need to
So strong
It nags
Until you
Give in
To something new
Which could be way over due
What it is ,I am sure you have a clue
***
*******
Drugs
Getting a tattoo
The urge
For something taboo
To paint yourself blue
To pursue
Someone to *****
Or that is equal to
The urge
Drives you to do what is not good for you
Makes you do the wrong things
Almost everything
The urge
Can definitely make you sin
When it takes control of you
That is when it begins
With
The Urge
!!
I have a strong urge too

A few months I haven't called him

At the beck and call at any hour
And the shortest notice
A dial to him has saved many an emergency

Last night a broken female voice
On the other side of the wire
Mumbled he died on May 13

Left her with three daughters
At forty at short notice

The plumber is dead

Now who would clear
My choked wash basin

The plumber is dead
And I've no other number to call

I couldn't see her face
Gauge the faceless sorrow
At the other side of the wire

The plumber is dead

I must find another
And then rejoice
Forgetting the widow's choked voice
