I am cold
Cold and empty
I have emerged from the void
Once again
Into the safety of emptiness
And the comfort of the cold
Hiding behind manic mantras
To ward off madness

You see, I shook the memory tree
In search of inspiration
Stories from the past
To amuse or provoke
But when you shake that cursed tree
Not all the fruit that falls is good
And one memory leads to another
Like a row of terrible dominoes
Leading to long forgotten
And deeply hidden
Traumas

Do we really know how often
We love?
Not the right man or the right woman,
But the beautiful souls that illuminate our way
No matter how scared we get.
No matter how lost.
Oh, that honest love left uncelebrated,
Just because it is not the love that everyone talks about!
Not all great loves are the romantic ones!
Some of them grow in the forgiven silence of a tear
In the patience that harbors the unspoken questions
Just knowing that at the right time
answers will come.
That’s also Love.

I'm falling in love again with you
Though I never did fall out it's true
But each and every single day
There is so much more at play
That's got me falling in love again with you

I'm falling in love again with you
Turning around each day to something new
Knocking me over head and heals
Bending me to your very will
That's got me falling in love again with you

I'm falling in love again with you
The way you bat those baby blues
Up one side and down the next
Not giving this beating heart a rest
That's got me falling in love again with you

It’s always, what you put in

He held himself with a somber sadness
His massive shoulders sagged to the floor
As if something at his center had just given up
Perhaps life dealt him a bad deck of cards
or perhaps he had just got some very bad news
That is when I noticed the picture at the table
Sitting at his right in his favorite corner booth
was an old picture of a very lovely woman
Come to find out later this was his beloved wife
They were married for 55 wonderful years
She passed away in 2009 but that did not stop him
He still dines with her every day
and kisses her picture every night
He talks to this picture like she is right there with him
Now that is true love my friends  <3   <3
