my father is a fortified man
with dark, verdant eyes
that shame the forest moss
that burn harsh and cold
seeing through deception
honest, stern, but fair

my mother is a gentle woman
with soft, cerulean eyes
that transcend the clearest sea
that glow bright and warm
always saying the right thing
tolerant, caring, but unwavering

and I was born with that azure gaze
though mine is not same
on half my left eye
a drop of my father's jade
and so I see the world
as an even balance
through both my parents eyes

I wait for you beneath the stars, in the place that we agreed upon
In a dream I can’t remember, though I’m sure we both were there
And though others ask if anyone is sitting in the empty seat beside me
I tell them that it’s spoken for and see them on their way

I wait for you beneath the stars, in the place near where the wind begins
With fresh cut grass and dandelions and sand down to the shore
And when it’s clear I see your face among the constellations
And when it’s not I see your heart float among the clouds

I wait for you beneath the stars, in the place that we agreed upon
The fire burning just enough to warm two cups of tea
And when you arrive I’ll know you by the words you spoke
when you told me……….well, you already know
You cut
You scar
You overpower

And by tattered bits we try to cover

You hit
You swear
You hungrily glare

And our body satiates your hunger

You touch as if we were clay
You cheaply play
You make us undeserving to stay

We are characterless
But you?
You are a gentleman to they

There you found her
A child asleep among the stars
No one can touch her
No one can hear her moving parts
Her beaten heart

Here you have her
She cracks open dreaming eyes
Stars fall around her
Her ears awake to distant cries
Her heart's demise

And there you'll leave her
A now sentient, helpless being
No one to feed her
No one to sing her into the deep
Go back to sleep

Go back to sleep.
These were originally written to music as song lyrics but I never really finished the song, so I felt they were more fitting this way :)
They'll call me crazy
I have no care for this realm
I'll find you on the other side with open arms
Cracking smiles
Tiny waterfalls from your eyes
I can sleep forever knowing that I'll find you in my dreams
They'll call me crazy for not being able to let you go
But I know where my happiness lies
I've promised to visit you every night
Now I'm promising to stay
I hate to see you're face turn with emptiness when I awake
I've made my decision
