I can't sleep.

The pixels torched my face in this gloomy room.
Flicking through our photos.
A lovely couple in each other's embrace.
Our jubilant smiles brimmed with life.

Those were the times when reality was mistaken for a dream.
As it was ethereal yet ephemeral.

I wish it would last forever.

This room is cold and quiet now.
Without your warmth and your laughter.
These extra pillows and space
Replaced your physical grace.

Not a single night went by
Without tears in these eyes.

I miss you ma chΓ©rie .
