I know this couple tatted
Both of them fit as a fiddle
No swing to the right or lean to the left
But a straight shot down the middle

Clearly with an attitude
That gets them through this life
To jump at the chance is always the plan
Where there's no just getting by

With a grab at the golden ring
On not one ear but two
Long ago found out there's no backing down
Giving themselves no option to lose

You can feel the atmosphere changes
The moment they enter the room
An energy beyond contagious
A whole new attitude

This couple I know that is tatted
Both of them fit as a fiddle
Not sure they know but a light to us all
The brightest of shining symbols
Wrote this for a couple I know on Instagram that is an inspiration to all who know them. Check them out!

How many of us have made the mistake
Of losing friends along the way
Wake up one morning and they're gone
Sitting there wondering what went wrong

As memories of them flood back in
With one question of why another of when
Where the mind takes less than it gives away
The heart is so fickle in the games that it plays

As you look around at the friends you have now
Wondering how long till they're gone themselves
Is it going to go down early or late
And are they sitting there thinking the same
Sitting here thinking of the friends I've made and lost along this path I'm on...

Though I am not related to you,
Hardly ever I felt this in your warmth,
Actually your care is so fatherly,
Not once did I feel unhandy with you,
Kindness is imbued in your nature.

You never lost your cool, and,
Organized weekly lab meetings,
Understanding all the workers.

Docile I had been so much,
Ready me for thesis you did.

Most kind of all my teachers,
On advising and enlightening,
Homely atmosphere you provide,
Always there holding your cool,
Not failing to lift our spirits,
Thinking about you I am,
Y**our wisdom is full of light.

Some people find the pool of love
And decided to dive right in
Before testing the temperature
To see if it's warm enough to swim

Some people lather themselves up
Just to lay out in the sun
As they watch all the others frolic
Wishing they could join in on the fun

Some pools are rather murky
So you must keep and eye on the sharks
Shallow or deep they'll take you off at the knees
For a closer advantage to tear out your heart

If you step out of the pool
After a swim in the deep end
Could you play the part of a wading fool
And jump right back in again

With no life guard on duty
To blow the whistle when you've had enough
You best be careful when you swim
In the pool of love

I feel like a love poem
With no reason nor rhyme
Looking for that special someone
Who can read between my lines

Hold me pure to the keeping
Of my I love you leanings
Like that of a master craftsman
In the building up of my meaning

Someone to fill the empty space
Give this rhyme much needed reason
I feel like a love poem
With part of me missing

this is a poem
about another poem
that touched me in ways
i may never know
it's hard to explain
how this could be so
the moment i read
this other poem
it talked of its sorrows
it talked of its joys
it set down in words
that which i've never known
it brought to the surface
mysteries it needed to show
this other poem
i think reached its goal
as it moved through the rhythm
rolled through the rhyme
took me to places
in other times
made me look inward
enlightened the mind
this other poem
i read at one time
