When clouds move aside
and let the rays shine,
life seems to be smiling.

Radiant teeth are
a mid-June sky
biting ceaselessly
into my eyes.
Today is the gift
that tomorrow hides
Alive in the moment
that scripture describes

To live deep inside it
a blessing ordained
To capture this instant
—forever proclaimed

A mix of
Startoucher
And Venus in furs

A minor astronomical event
Between luminous beings

Timean sparkles
Fast atoms escape

And in their wake
Baby satellites to bear

Sleep
—the required reading of all dreamers

(Villanova Pennsylvania: February, 2018)

Leafless tree
Boughs and twigs
Folded in Namaste

Alive and green
The tree trunk young
Slightly bent

Part of a canopy
Of the tree lined road
It rests awhile

Seasons change
Some along with the weather
Cycle of change replete
I fancy the fierce fog,
backlit by the morning sun.

Burn off, slowly.
The day has just begun.
Autumn turns nature more intense.
     Peasants harvest Burnt sienna and
other shades of red while black crows
crawl across the French blue sky.
     Leaves catch fire briefly before
ending in winters Payne grey grave.
I clutch hope in my lonely winter.
Please visit soon, Lad. Love, Vincent.
