Stardust
After every flower,
There's someone tending to it with care.
Through every storm and season's test,
Ensuring it survives,
And someday, blooms its best.
Or simply keeps on blooming,
Until there are no seasons
And no more storms to test.
This poem is for my dear mother.

Stardust
I live among blurry faces,
faces of people I used to know.
Leaving a place and coming back feels like you know someone from before yet not who they are now.

Stardust
A cool breeze in the early morning
Pastel blue sky, with light rain humming
Songs of birds and insects rise
Nature greets with whispered sighs.
Only a few
make a pact
with the wind

Only a few
know the joy
there within

Free of the shadow
that follows
and stalks

Escaping
tomorrow
in moments recaught

Horizons lie waiting
as pilgrims
embark

Voices like magnets
pull light
from the dark

Only a few
hear the music
on high

Through handlebar
portals
— embraced by the sky

Your wife must be lonely
With all the time you spend
Away from her
Wishing you had me

Thank God for dogs.
They are always happy to see you,
and happy to give
and get love.
I feel the world at
times conspires to make true my
basic discontent.
