Last night I dreamt of you and I,
Before you left and said goodbye.
We danced around the sun,
I’ve never had so much fun.
Forever has just begun.
Golden beams of light,
So pure and so bright.

Once I had awoken,
My heart was broken.
Upon a darkened night,
Flames of love burning in sight,
Our shadows return in spite.
What we composed is tattered,
Why did our love shatter?

i always wonder why people leave
but it’s because they can’t take the weight of my love

every time someone new comes along
i give them my whole heart
and they aren’t able to carry it
so they drop it

honey and glass

there are girls who are made of honey and glass
so sweet and so transparent
dancing in the golden sun
they are seen in the light

i wished to be one of them, wished for more
but i was made for the moon
i am beautiful but not everyone can see through the darkness
filled with dreams and secrets
only to be shown at night

i dream in color of a life worth living
then awake to a world of black and white
i watch the hands on the clock countdown
minutes are turning into hours
as my life remains still
just living to survive
and surviving just to live
