Poetic words that echo over time
Bring solace to a poet of the modern age

Softly spoken in your whispered caress
Hold me now my dear master of words
Ease my mind with your sweet philosophy
Let me lie still in that moment
Let me believe one last time those kisses mattered; then
Ease me gently to that place where they don’t and
Your poetry comforts my heart.

My Mother moon, I pray to you,
Bless this night with your silver hue,
Reveal your light in words I say
And deeds I do along the way
I seek the path that leads me through.

I feel your love in all that’s true,
In lunar light, a clearer view,
To calmly soothe the darkest day,
My Mother Moon.

Giving thanks and blessings too,
For gentle love in which I grew,
And though I often walk astray,
I know you love me anyway,
As I return to be with you
My Mother Moon

A lady pen wrote of love in meter,
from on the Grecian isle and ancient time.
For womankind, was honey ever sweeter?
She was not condemned, when she made her rhyme
A lyricist words were made for singing,
Plato’s muse she inspires from long ago.
Her name now echoes as a bell ringing
A way of loving she has set aglow.
From that isle, she refined her own beat,
and thus her name remains as poem form.
Given pride too, as we measure the feet,
a genre of art brings critical storm.
No shame now, we will show our love and pride
in the life culture, we choose to reside.

Dust settles rapidly
On empty battlefields
In mourning reflection
And lovers lingering
In velvet temptation
Such feelings equated resolutely
Love
Hate
The friction intimates
That spirits awaken indifferent
