My body is a temple,
Where pain bows to worship,
My soul is a haven,
Where suffering and hate reside,
My arms are a canvas,
Where a razor slices deep,
My mind is a river,
Where darkness and confusion flow,
My heart is a fountain,
Where wishes are made and forgotten,
My eyes are a pool,
Where longing and sadness wade,
My life is a memory,
Where forgetting is its greatest gift.

Can you hear me screaming,
As I make you laugh?
Do you see my drowning,
As I listen to your pain?
Can you hear my heart pounding,
As you lean on my trembling shoulders?
Do you feel my shaking hands,
As you use them to wipe your endless tears?

A heart pounds in my ears,
It throbs through my fingers,
Its intensity is terrifying,
I breathe in, I breathe out: One. Two. Three. Four.

My thoughts are overwhelming,
They are negative and dark,
They have no real substance,
I breathe in, I breathe out: One. Two. Three. Four.

A need for release is imminent,
An urgent call with an unspoken answer,
A desperate need for a moment of peace,
I breathe in, I breathe out: One. Two. Three. Four.

Careless wandering is a blissful dream,
A moment in time stolen,
My ignorance has faded,
I breathe in, I breathe out: One. Two. Three. Four.

Beauty has left my awareness,
Love is naught more than painful memory,
Meaning has slipped through my trembling grasp,
I breathe in, I breathe out: One. Two. Three. Four.

One. Two. Three. Four.
One. Two. Three. Four.
One. Two. Three. Four.
