If men were toys that you could buy at a store
And create like Legos or Bionicles or Lincoln Logs
Each time I would try to put together my perfect man

And each time I would build a less perfect you

When I die and lay down for my final rest
Do not mourn the time we could have had
But celebrate the time we was together
Remember me not with sorrow
But remember me with a smile and a laughter

When I die and lay down for my final rest
Do not mourn what was taken from you
But celebrate what you was given
Remember not: that all that is given will be taken
But that all that will be taken is given to you

When I die and lay down for my final rest
Do not mourn me, I’m not dead
Celebrate me, I’m still alive
Remember me and I will not die
But remember only if you want to

When I die and lay down for my final rest
Do not mourn that I died
Celebrate that I have lived till now
Remember that life isn’t eternal
But remember that love is

Bless me and my finite soul
**** me and end my pain
This agony is eating me whole
Bless me, I’m going insane

I’m feeling it creeping; insanity
I’m hearing its voice call
To lose my humanity
I’m feeling like I’m hitting a wall

Death - I’ve always seen it near
Death - Donum Mortis

Free me from, the chains of life
Fettered to thoughts, humbling, shaking
Emptying, this evil strife
Free me from this aching

Death - I’ve always seen it near
Death - Donum Mortis

Save me from the omnipresent emptiness
Laying thick, muddying my mind
Longing for fulfillment
Of a meaningless kind

As I watched the new day awake
And the snow flakes that fell to the ground
Just to melt, or to freeze on the lake
To then shatter with a cracking sound

I thought of us human fools
With no real purpose or meaning
Just being used as tools
We cannot stand without leaning

Against a friend or foe
Against false truths and ideals
Afraid of the beast below
When compared to the truth, he appeals

And a snow flake landed on my cheek
A light touch and then it melted away
I won't remember it next week
Even thou it danced it's very own ballet

Even thou it was as no other
The touch of it was the same
To me it was just another;
We are all just the same
