Sydney E Carter Jan 2015
I'm going to runaway and make the road my runway
I'm going jump in waters with depths unknown
And when you try to say good night, I'm not going to let you go
I'm going to sneak out late and I'm going to stay up for the rising sun
I'm going to unlock my lips and spill everything
I'm going to be open, I'm going to come undone
No one can tell me who I should be anymore
No one will be able to stop me from closing doors
I'm going to break free from who they want me to be
I'm going to climb an evergreen, and it's going to stay summer for me
Sydney E Carter Jan 2015
I'm not going to get snowed in this year, I've spent one too many living in fear
I'm going to watercolor the gray skies in pink, purple, and blue
And I'm going to relax when I don't know what to do
I'm going to play pretend these cloud covered stars are yellow
I might just ride a bike, and for a while I'll feel mellow
I'm going to climb to the top of a mountain, I'm going to climb and scream
Because I made it this time, I made it in my mind, I've always been who I should be
Don't change a thing.
